Comment:

Class started off on a high note however it quickly changed. Discussions are lengthy and require several examples and citations or your grade will be affected. Last several chapters in the class in my opinion are not related to the course unless you plan to major in photography or architecture.

She isn't a very good teacher. She encourages us to travel everywhere and she's kinda annoying. She takes adults phones like we're in middle school. I got an A in the class. She just uses us as an audience to her travels.

Comment:

The professor really don't know how to use blackboard you have to look for test, essay post and don't like to be wrong, contradicts herself a lot, hold grudges from past students. Don't know how to talk to people and very happy that she is retiring soon. Do not take this class with this professor at all !!!

She was a very tough grader on our journals and we had weekly quizzes. She gave us 3 chapters of a book to read every night. She was a little more leniant and nice towards the end of the semester. There was tons of reading and she takes off for grammar on papers.

She's gives a lot of second chances and extra credit to her students, but it really feels like a high school class instead of college. She tries to be enthusiastic about what she's teaching, but she's VERY boring. Lots of powerpoints and semi related videos in class. If you can stay awake, it's a pretty easy class, but i barely learned anything.

Lectures were boring and long. Tries connecting with students, but fails. Isn't really clear on what she wants for the essays you'll write. Lots of reading in a module and journal entries are a big part of the course. There's no final though.

I took this class online. For some unknown reason, my final grade was a D. This is absurd, as I'm generally praised for my writing and research skills. I currently attend UF with a 3.7 GPA. I received an A+ in a similar humanities course (also online) at UF. Ohayon never responded to emails. Would appreciate an explanation. Not recommended.

A very kind lady. She lectures on the chapter then you take a quiz on that chapter by Sunday on BlackBoard. About one in class activity per chapter and 3 large assignments that are simple to do. If you pay attention, attend class and treat her with respect you should have no problem. ALWAYS CHECK BLACKBOARD. That's where she does EVERYTHING.

When emailed professor did answer questions, but mostly wasn't clear. I regret taking this class online. She expects your writing to be a graduate level and doesn't show consideration to those who aren't there yet. You're on your own in this class. Offers little to no help. Unless you are amazing in writing and love history. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!

Her class was so easy I passed without even trying she gives a lot of extra credit.. We had only 1 team project (we had to visit an historic site) and it was pretty easy it was 4 people in my group and we knocked it out. I wish I could take this class again and make another easy A.

This is the worst teacher i have ever had! She treats everyone like we are still in high school but grades an assignment like you are in graduate school. She loves to change her due dates half way through the class. I have taken my journal entries to the writing lab and had them read them but she is still telling me that i have horrible journals

This lady was very unclear with her directions and her structure of the class, She is not responsive to emails or phones, if you want to get in touch with her you need to just go to her office. The work isnt hard at all she's just not that great of an professor, kicked me out of the group project because she couldn't see my emails!

She's very sweet and knows the material in and out. But lectures were crazy boring, you have to attend events outside of class, and there's a group project (PowerPoint and paper) that was a little difficult because of the group thing. Need relatively good writing skills.

I would not recommend this professor. She is very nice and sweet, but all kinds of confusing. She tries to incorporate group work a lot, which wasn't my speed personally. However, there was no final, and she grades fairly easily. Weekly quizes can be retaken to ensure 100%. There is a group project that was a nightmare, but only because of my mates
