Her lecture was dull and she treats the class like its a high school class i.e telling us to put our laptops away when theres a video on the screen with a condescending tone. Class doesnt spark great discussions that lead you to want to learn

This is a very interesting class. Lots of reading and papers, but that should be expected from the name of the class. We read 6 books and write 6 papers that aren't too hard to write, and she isn't a very harsh grader. There're interesting class discussions and each ethnography is different from the last, so you learn a lot. I would recommend.

favorite professor this semester! lectures can sometimes be boring, especially if you're coming from a morning full of them. Most tests and quizzes are online and open book. very nice person and is always available.

Love this prof. but the class is pretty hard. 2 HARD exams that are worth 20% of your grade each. Lots of readings that are hard to understand and read, but prof. is incredibly kind and fun. Definitely take her ANTH 100 because it's amazing. Her 260 is not bad, but you really have to work and study hard if you want to do well.

Does not post slides yet goes through them extremely quick in class. Be prepared to read A TON on your own time or you will not do well on the exams. Observations are somewhat time consuming.

I absolutely loved Skolnikof! She is so nice and caring. Her class was super interesting! If you like someone who follows the syllabus exactly, then you're in for a treat. 3 exams throughout the semester, online quiz every week, and a final make up most of the grade. She loves participation and encourages class discussion and people's opinions.

Not bad but definitely makes you work for it. Texts were boring but the class discussions were interested. Watched a lot of videos. Several research projects/papers throughout the year which were graded pretty hard (no rubric gets posted and directions can be unclear). Overall I learned a lot but it was definitely time-consuming and tough

Professor Skolnikoff teaches like she is teaching only Anthropology students, if you are not one drop her class. Shes lectures all class, sometimes lecturing only on what the homework was. She expects students to know every theorist and the associated vocab terms. Also she acts like students do not take classes other than hers.

I actually really enjoyed this class. You should buy the books they are not that expensive and they do come in handy. She likes participation, and does show videos every once in a while. The test and vocab quizzes are easy if you come to class and pay attention. I would recommend this for people that need to take the class for a major or minor.

Professor Skolnikoff was my favorite and best professor that I took my freshman year. She clearly lays out what she expects from her students. She is a pretty easy grader as well. I am taking her again next semester because I loved her as a professor so much! She is always there to help and will do anything to help her students.

I was very, very frustrated with Prof. Skolnikoff. Insultingly easy; we had a few pages of reading each night and then in class she'd reteach exactly what was in the reading in PowerPoint form. I could have just read the book and learned just as much. Terribly boring.

Dr. Skolnikoff makes it easy to get a good grade in her classes. Early in the term she outlines exactly what will be tested during the term - listen and you will get an A.

she is a good person, great connections but does not care about what happens with your grade, more than half of the class has a C or lower, she brings down your gpa very easily, shes one of the reason my gpa went down and i withdrawed her class just to keep my scholarship its horrible.

She has her favorites and she is a GPA Killer. Moreover, she has a tendency to pick on students who are struggling with the course work. Seniors, do not take her.

She teaches like she is still on her field study with 3rd graders. Not really in good communicator other than being downright miserable to everyone. She is snappy, has a robotic personality, and is wasting your money as a student. This is easily the worst teacher I've ever had in my life.

Absolutely hated this professor, has a passion for her work and expects an unrealistic level of dedication from all her students. Gives tedious, lenghty, not to mention equally boring and useless readings. She is a GPA killer, thanks to this useless class, I missed out graduating Magna****Laude in Accounting. Avoid Anthro/Soc electives.

Between her attendence policy, lack of intrest, and difficult grading; she also finds time to torcher GPAs. Intro class as hard as a 300 level, now that's a hootenany!!! Seniors beware... NEVER take as free elective; She will destroy you.
