Good professor! Shes a hard grader and you have to work for your grade. I would not recommend taking this class with this professor if you are not a strong writer. Lots of reading and papers but you have to participate in class in order to get the most out of your grade. Shes very accessible for going over your paper, accounts that into your grade

Dr. Parker is a great English professor who is very fair with grades. She allows you to meet with her to go over your essays, which tells you exactly what she is looking for. Going to office hours and the writing center is always good, as she likes it when people get help. I hated English throughout high school, but Dr. Parker made me enjoy it.

Dr. Parker is amazing!! Her classes are fun since they're mostly discussion based and her assignments are very easy to do and fun too. There's a lot of writing in the class with in-class writing, free responses, and there's 3 major papers. She's really knowledgeable and makes time for her students, especially if you really reach out for advice.

Some in-class writing too that isnt hard. 3 papers, meet with her in office hours! Shell really help you. You need all of the books, but can rent/buy used.

Dr. Parker is one of the best profs you can take especially during your freshman year. She truly cares about your grade and makes sure you will do well. She assigns little writing assignments, a group project, and a few essays. If you put effort into the work and the essays she will take that into a count for your grade. Take her!! You won't regret

Dr. Parker is one of my favorite professors. If you do the readings and participate, you will have an amazing experience in her class. She likes if you meet with her for feedback for your essay drafts (I used to go to her for feedback 3 or 4 times before turning in a final essay) and she definitely took that into account while grading.

Dr. Parker is a good teacher that knows what she's talking about. She's really friendly, and is always willing to help. No tests, just reading responses and papers. You can get away with barely reading. Enjoyable class.

She's a great teacher and is really understanding and reasonable about turning in projects. It's clear that she loves teaching and she makes it an enjoyable class. Definitely take her for 102. She's a little picky about grading but gives you great feedback and is really helpful.

Dr. Parker was a great teacher for 102. It's obvious that she loves English and being a teacher in general. She's always there to help if you need it. There was a lot of reading and writing in the class, but it's all very manageable, and the reading is mostly pretty interesting. Definitely take her if you can.

I loved Dr. Parker. I may be a little biased because I like English classes in genera;, but I really found her very knowledgable and interesting. She has a good sense of humor and is not a stickler about things being late because life happens. Participation does go toward your grade but it isn't hard to get a check mark for the day!

I understand this was a writing-intensive class, but I think I did as much work in this class as I did writing my thesis. It's like she lives to grade things. Expect a lot of assignments of all kinds, some overlapping one another, and reading. Also, her attendance policy is strict. However, she's quite helpful and not too hard-- just lots of work.

Dr. Parker was an alright teacher to take for 102. Her class is kind of boring, and she usually just goes on and on. The class is pretty easy though. 3 major papers. 7 one page responses but you only have to do 5. Decent amount of outside reading for the class, but you would see that with any 102 class.

Dr. Parker is really nice. Her classes can be a little dull, but she does a great job of clarifying any confusing matters. She lets us discuss with each other our opinions and thoughts which is a great environment to be in. Very fair grader; just do the reading and the writing assignments and you're golden.
