I had Blackburn for calculus. WORST class i have ever taken. his lectures are straight from the book and are not helpful at all. Most everyone in my class is not doing well and he doesnt seem to care that we dont know the information because he hasnt taught it well. Ive learned more from youtube videos than i have from him in class.

Blackburn is the best teacher at EGSC & really cares about the well-being & grades of the students! if I didn't understand the material at first I would meet with him after class to have extra study sessions & he made sure I understood the material so I could ACE his class. Do his practice tests (identical to actual exams) and homework & it's easy!

Great Professor. Loves math. He goes faster than most but don't be scared to raise your hand and ask. Do the homework along the way- DON'T WAIT (easy A). Take GOOD NOTES. And DO THE PRACTICE TESTS.

Mr. Blackburn is a great teacher.He can be a little bit hard but, that is only if you do not pay close attention to his lecture. The Homework assignments is an A+ to help out in case of failing tests. I just come out of his Statistics class. It was my second time taking the class and that is only because I did not pay close attention the first time

The teacher is fine, but the class is HARD. He has videos of every lesson on the computer that you can watch at home before doing homework. So you basically reteach yourself before the test. It is a lot to intake and remembering everything is really hard at the end! Even though the final is open book, everybody thought they failed.

GREAT!! He's a wonderful teacher...knows his stuff!!! Does go fast but willing to explain. Test are a breeze...if you study...most are multiple choice and puts some of the same or very similar questions on test as pretest. Very flexible.

He definitely knows his stuff, but it's hard to catch up if you haven't seen the material in a while. He does offer retests and his study guides contain the same types of questions on the test. Personally, I didn't enjoy his class because he taught too fast and his explanations were not very clear.

He knows his stuff, but there is only so many "it the cool" you can handle. Bad jokes and lack of real humor. Mr. Blackburn would try to help, but explaining it the same way 20 times does not help me any.

I have never met a professor that goes out of his way to provide additional assistance the extent that Blackburn has - he has sessions with football games and almost always offers a retest. It's not his fault that students join his class lacking necessary prerequisit basics. He is clear, logical, and invested in his job!

Some people do not have a sense of humor. I suspect that the other two commentators do not. He used to be a baptist preacher and he teaches math that way...that's funny! As for the golf swings give the man a break he loves the game. (I don't) He was nice to me.
