Taking online Intro to Sociology. All the quiz questions can easily be found on Quizlet, and you are given the page number for vocab quizzes. Discussion posts are quick and easy. Only six papers to write for the whole semester. He drops the lowest grade of each type of assignment at the end of the term. Little slow to reply. Good for an A!

Not really that much work. Very easy elective credit. Quizzes and discussion posts every week. Quiz answers on quizlet, so easy to get an A+. Discussions are easy and quick to do. Don't really need to go very in depth. Take this as an easy elective! Pretty much a guaranteed A+. Spent maybe 5 hours total in the whole semester in this course.

Take SOC 171 online if can. Textbook is required but I haven't touched it. If taking online, quiz answers can be copied and pasted into google and you will find all answers to everything on quizlet. Discussion posts are basically your opinions, nothing that would be new material to someone. Guy seems nice even though I haven't personally met him!

I'm taking online Intro to Sociology, and I haven't had any problems with him or the way he teaches. You pretty much have the same type of assignments every week, but there is a lot of reading from the textbook to accomplish those assignments.

Relaxed teacher, he cancelled class a couple time though, he doesn't give a lot of homework, he does take attendance, some of his directions on the homework are confusing.

Very little homework, only a couple of interesting books to read and few papers to write (that, we all agreed, he never read). I'm not sure that I learned very much, but this class was very interesting and a lot of fun.

funny guy, easy exams. just memorize the study guide Q/A's he gives you. powerpoints pretty boring, and he doesn't accept late work. i had a B in the class until i tried to turn in a paper the day i returned from spring break (i missed the class where we turned them in), and he wouldn't accept it, so i got a D overall.. :(

His teaching style is interesting he uses power point alot, but he always adds a story or something to make things more interesting and keep students interested. He has study guides for tests that are very helpful if you use them.

John made the class more interesting than it would have been otherwise. Even though he has very liberal views, he's open to conservative opinions and doesn't put anyone down for their ideas.

Boring. I think he tried, but I doubt anyone could make this class less torturous. He gave internet readings & assignments but graded the online assignments harshly. Questions were ambiguous and you could never give him the exact answer he was looking for. No matter what I did he always gave me a B.

Intro to Sociology. Every assignment is internet based and much of the reading is aswell - VERY important to read the internet articles because they account for a disproporionate amount of questions on the test compared to the textbook.
