Hes a very nice guy. Classes are very boring. He uses a powerpoint and takes info from the book. He tries to be funny but eh. Community service thing is a joke, nobody has time for that, quizes each week are worded differently then what we are taught and he gives a test on the day we are stil learning the subject. He's a nice guy and all, but dear sweet Christ are his classes boring! Every class is the same, PowerPoint presentation with material copied from the book, asks questions, rinse and repeat. Honestly, if attendance didn't count as much as it did I would have skipped it more often!

If you are not comfortable speaking in front of the class do not take class with Prof Bick. On the first day of class he made us write our names on a sheet of paper and make name tags out of them(like we are in 1st grade)and made us leave them on our desk and then introduce yourself to the class. Do your work, make an attempt to participate. Great helpful guy and a good educator. Ended up with a better grade than I expected to, but don't enter his class thinking it's a free A. Can't go to ANY class if you're not willing to learn something.

I'm currently taking this class with Bick- I can't stand it. He contradicts himself all the time, and when there's actually something he's interested in he gets angry if you don't agree with him. Its frustrating, do not take this class.

Bick truly believes in the subject matter, and transmits his enthusiasm to his students. He makes an already-interesting subject even more compelling. I hope to have a class with him again.

I loved Professor Bick's class. I didnt find him to be biased at all, and I thought he made it a point not to let his personal political standings effect the class. If you like being involved and are a good student youll like this class.
