She started our first class by doing an exercise on what we thought was a professional person. She listed a bunch of jobs and we had to rate the person. After we finished, she told us those were all jobs she has had. Prof. Dakich has an amazing background and knows how to run a business. Listen to her lectures and ask questions. Easy A

Professor Dakich is easily one of the best professors at UMSL. She may not use any online resources, but her lectures always have meaning and if you pay attention and participate it is an easy grade.

Amazing Professor! Pay attention during her very interesting lectures, and take good notes and you'll ace the class. She doesn't assign too much work, usually a few assignments and three exams.

Archaic! Refuses to utilize BlackBoard (online system) Writes on chalkboard. Lectures are boring... (like the teacher on Charlie Brown blah blah blah) No laughs. Class was boring. Many of my class was sleep! With all of her real world knowledge of business, she should know that class should be interactive

Some may say she acts like a know-it-all and likes to brag a lot, but I completely disagree. If i had her accomplishments I would talk about them all the time, especially if I was teaching. Her real world examples during lectures lets you know you are actually learning something of value. Read text and notes for tests. 2/3 are group tests.

Professor Dakich gave great insights into the real business world. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn, from a person with real business experience, what the real business world is like. She is a great teacher of what to expect and how to handle tough situations. Take any class that she teaches, you will be tankful later.

Exams are lecture-based, textbook not necessary if you listen and take good notes. Exams are in-class, one of them is a Group test. Prof. Dakich is very knowledgeable and inspirational, I greatly enjoyed this class.

Comment:

Best instructor at UMSL! Her examples were very helpful. She tried to make her projects and examples as close to the "real world" as she could. Projects will be very useful after graduation, while looking for a job. I looked forward to going to class to hear what she had to say. Very intelligent lady!

Gives real life knowledge that you will be able to use after college. Very low book usage. Very inspirational and motivational. The tests are lecture based so take good notes. Only thing is she doesn't use blackboard to post the syllabus and assignments so try not to lose any handouts. Class has 3 take home tests 1 presentation 1 group project

She is a really great professor. All of her test are take home and aren't too terribly difficult. She is interesting to listen to because she gives real life examples instead of using the textbook. She uses a lot of handouts to help with exams too. It is an easy class if you just show up as she doesn't post notes. Very interesting lectures!

She doesn't use the board or a projector to aid in each sessions lecture. She doesn't use the school's site at all. She doesn't give outlines or handouts with notes about her lectures. So, taking notes over every topic she lectures about and each of the topics detailed info is made extremely difficult to do. Only 3 non-MC tests. 443 pts. total.

Is it too much to ask a teacher to use Blackboard? Incredibly boring lectures, and she spends most of her time talking about her achievements. For a junior level course I certainly expected to learn more.

Class was always entertaining and offered real world advice. Dakich was extremely friendly and was always available in her office when needed. Class consists of lectures, all short answer take home tests that are graded kinda harshly, group project at end of the semester, and a very long individual assignment DO NOT DO IT LAST MINUTE!

Great teacher! This is the first class I have had that I feel like I actually learned things that are useful in real life! She makes an effort to really explain things in how they are used are good for in an actual business environment. Not a lot of work. Show up and pay attention and you will do fine.

THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! She is awesome. If you go to her lectures and pay attention in class, you should have no problems. I enjoyed each and every single lecture. She give a lot of real life examples and they are very helpful! I WOULD TAKE HER AGAIN! :)
