Disregard the previous comment, Dr. Wyatt is a horrible tester, my average for the tests are 54, i study all the time, but cant go to office hours, 17/52 dropped , im thinking 15 fails , rest C, and B, maybe 1 B+ or A-

Comment:

Dr. Wyatt's lectures are the best! He is passionate about organic chemistry, and he expects you to be meticulous. This class is just as HARD as he's HOT. It's likely that you'll fail because everyone can't go to med school. One way or another, you'll learn a lot, if you take Dr. Wyatt. Office hours are a must-GO! No easy way around this class!

Had Wyatt for lecture and lab, phenomenal in lecture... not so much for lab. If he sees you trying in lecture (doing the problem sets, coming to class, going to office hours) he'll make sure your grade reflects it. His lab suffered because he was too busy for it, which hurt grades (gave lab reports back night before final to study with)

Prof. Wyatt is phenomenal. He is witty and keeps org. interesting. He also is very good about simplifying concepts so that they become routine making future material easier. He is very approachable, offers quizzes (a Godsend in org. because you want as many grades as possible-better than only having four test grades to work with) and extra credit.

I took his organic workshop over maymester. It was amazing how helpful this was. WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY. Take advantage of this workshop and you'll be ahead of the game when you take chem 231

Org Synth is probably the most work intensive class at cofc. You spend a minimum of 12 hours a week in the lab, so be friends w/ everyone. He is demanding with your papers down to the smallest details. Work w/ your classmates to determine rxn steps and do papers, cause he gives the minimum of help (on purpose). This class an amazing experience

One of the best professors I ever had ! I got an A bc I went to every single office hours and I went to SI.The secret is to do problem after problem everyday!He loves hardworkers and he boosted my grade accordingly.Organic is only hard if you make it hard,all you gotta do is study. P.S. I rarely used the text bc his tests are straight from lecture

The girl who SI'ed his class last semester was not very clear but he was perfect. If you don't understand 231 and you don't take the time to study every day then you're not likely to do well. That's the way that college is supposed to be.

Be prepared to work the hardest you have ever had to work. The quizzes every lecture are impossible if you don't have a good background in 232, its hard to catch him in office hours bc there are always ppl in his office. The SI didn't help whatsoever, it only made things more confusing. Great professor but very very very hard!

He's honesty the best professor I've ever had. I'll never cease to be amazed by how nice and helpful he is to his students. The daily quizzes are fun and challenging; they always keep you on your toes. The class was well organized, crystal clear and fair. Your grade is a perfect representation of how well you know the material.

Fantastic professor. He encourages that students visit him during office hours, and believe me, it makes a huge difference! Also, go to SI if Deana is teaching it (my lifesaver)! It's difficult to make an A in this class, but if you keep up with the quizzes, you should be able to make at least a B. I actually enjoyed this class b/c of Dr. Wyatt!
