Comment:
Keith is one of the best professors I've had at UW; he is not only inspirational but his stories are compelling and intriguing. The content of this course would have been dry without his interesting anecdotes and stories alongside it. Class isn't mandatory, but you'd be missing out a lot if you didn't attend.

Fun... Engaging... Thoughtful... I would definitely take his courses in the future. Weekly quizzes on readings means slacking won't pay off, and midterm and finals require knowing the material. All around I learned a lot and respect Mr. Regehr!

Course content is very useful and applicable to real word. The grading is fair. Cares about your understanding of topics and encourages participation. The readings are valuable though they can be long. Makes sure to go over important topics from readings. Interesting subjects and keep interest with stories. Will earn a lot. Would take again.

Comment:
Keith constantly will say "I don't remember" "law school was a long time ago" "I try to forget it" There's a lot of confusion in his lectures. Although the concepts are clear from the readings he says things like " I did the reading 3 months ago, I dont remember" That's not a sign of a good prof. His tests are super hard & he always goes off topic

A lot of people here say he's mediocre, but I think he's a great prof. Lots of experience, and he has good anecdotes. The assignments are quite straightforward, but the midterm and final are somewhat stressful. Definitely worth taking though, good class and good prof.

He really needs to learn how to mark assignments on time. He asks us to write reading responses each week and doesn't mark them for over a month. Then one fine day marks them all and hands out low marks. There is no feedback!

Totally unprepared...more going on in personal life therefore seems to lack interest. Condensed course, way behind on his marking yet continues to penalize students for his lack of guidance. Talk’s in circles. Can't answer questions not directly related to family dynamics. Presents nice and has solid knowledge, but poor deliverance to class.

I should have checked rate my Prof. He is not fully into the class and students are paying for his inability to be present and provide clear information. TA’s as unprepared as Prof. Prof personality is if you address inconsistency, it is turned it back to your issue...he knows it all, and student knows nothing.

Although Keith does not teach this course or show up for class, he marks the exams. This makes no sense and even more foolish is his marking ability. If you write "however" on your exam you'll have marks deducted as Keith doesn't like that word. He is completely full of himself and his abilities, save yourself the trouble and pick something useful!

I agree that Keith does like to talk about himself, but only when his experience is relevant. It's NOT hard to get a good mark in this course. Online quizzes are dead easy (never did the readings and got perfect), Midterm and final are hard (practical) but Keith is extremely helpful. He WANTS you to succeed. Take this course, its well worth it

An 'Arts' class with substance? Who would have known? Great guy, you get out what you put in. Seriously though, he needs to learn how to tell 'mature' students to shut up (one person, 10-15 comments per lecture? arghhhh...). No one cares what they think, and it was clear the Regehr also didn't.

I really enjoy his teaching. Definitely one of my most interesting profs. Uses real life examples to help students understand what's being taught. I mostly enjoy this class because of his great teaching style. He's really relaxed during lectures but knows what he's talking about and easy to approach

While I expected a continuation of PACS 201 (=quite international in content), this prof focused on mediation and family conflict... Not very relevant for those interested in international conflict resolution. The only interesting part was on Gandhi!

i was never really sure of what he taught by the end of the class...everything seemed opinion based so it was really hard to try and get concrete answers out of him! he doesn't want you to share the same opinion as him which i never understood!

Great teacher, gives a lot of hands on work with the information. Appreciates a good argument and is fairly easy and fair. HIs midterm was great, all from the slides and teh essay questions were opinion based. FUN AND NICE PERSON TO BE AROUND.

Didn't enjoy this class. He likes to talk about himself & is of the opinion that he's a top notch guy because he's so open minded. Left each class wondering what it was I was suppose to be learning. Not my favourite.
