It is very difficult to find a professor that will take the time to answer your questions, help you understand the material, and actually spend time teaching the material associated with the subject of the class instead of preaching the rhetoric that they are partial too. I really appreciated Dr. Schubert's class. Highly recommended.

Comment:

Dr. Schubert is by far the best professor at the CSE department, second to none. He has a solid understanding of the material, has genuine enthusiasm for teaching, and goes out of his way to ensure students understand topics. He is also a great researcher, and is awesome for independent study. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

This is not an easy class, and he didn't make it easy. However, he is a great lecturer and offsets the difficult homework and lab assignments with a tolerable midterm and a final. He is always more than willing on giving extra credit. His philosophy is not that you ace the material, but that you learn something. Passable if you put in effort.

My favorite professor in CS!!! You will learn alot in this class...his lectures are always interesting and interactive..lab is hands on and fun...test and homework are kind of hard but it helps your understanding...great class...

Very good professor. The things he knows are more than CS and Computer Engineer. He teaches clearly and cares about each student. Compare with other classes I took in CS, both 610 and 635 are not my interest before I took! But he made me like them! I feel I am very lucky and proud to be his student!

This guy knows his stuff, and could build a computer out of duct tape and bailing wire. More than that, he knows how to teach. Very difficult exams, but he is a very fair grader (partial credit is your friend).
