Comment:
If you pay attention in class you will have great understanding of the material. The textbook is not necessary. His tests are very subjective and difficult, but you'll be fine. 3 midterms, 1 paper, 1 case, and some participation (attendance) goes into your grade. He is very accessible in his office/via email and wants to help students succeed.

Pretty easy class, we read a few books and had super laid back in-class discussions on them. It's easier to fall behind from how chill it feels than to feel overwhelmed by content. He has a ton of guest speakers and were let out early almost every day. I can fit my notes from the year on a few sheets of paper. He gives handouts, KEEP THEM FOR EXAM

Basically if you'll not read each chapter and go off by lectures you'll get a C on your tests... the chapters are very long and the test questions are somewhat tricky. He does lecture with enthusiasm and does not read off powerpoints and put you to sleep; also fast responds to emails and is almost always available at his office.

His exams are ridiculously hard. Do NOT take unless you must, i.e. you are a major/concentration or whatever this school offers for TRAN. I took as an upper level elective, and I regret it. Miss two classes and you drop a letter grade!

His tests are awful and deceiving. He says he wants simple answers and then takes off points for not being deep enough. Hard grader. The only examples he uses is mcdonald's and walmart. What a redneck.

Good Prof. Keeps class light-hearted and interesting. Only 3 tests, and 1 ten page paper, but miss 3 classes and your grade goes down (he's understanding though).

Very knowledgeable teacher. The tests are very hard but if you attend class and pay attention you should get by. Not an easy A or B but definately an intersting class/professor worth taking.

Dr. Gourdin is a cool guy. Very funny, nice and laid back. Pretty easy class, though it is important to attend and participate. Multiple choice questions can be tricky, but they come from the book.

An interesting class to take; chock full of useful content for the business world and it WILL NOT cut in on your leisure time! You'll probably enjoy this class if you take your studies seriously. However, the predominantly MC exams contain two (or more) seemingly correct answers; choose wisely!

Excelent professor. Has a lot of experience. Very much fun. Mixes info with real life stories. Very, very, very helpful. Tests are treaky though, but it is not too hard to make a good grade.

He is an O.K. professor, but stay on his good side b/c he uses a "favoritism scale" He often grades unfairly or assign grades based on how well he likes you and not the quality of your work

He is a very nice teacher, not boring, but his test are really tricky...you'll think they'll be easy but then they really get you. Love him as a teacher though.
