Comment:
Professor McBride never seems to stay on track. His lectures are disorganized and the class is incredibly difficult to pay attention to. However, the class itself is easy and attendance truly isn't mandatory. Very easy class to pass.

Kevin understands that most people are only taking anthropology as a gen ed and tries to make it as easy as possible to do well in his class. Lectures are pretty interesting and he does a good job of focusing only on what you really need to remember. Really laid back. Quizzes happen in discussion each week but they're super easy.

McBride is a really chill dude. I only recommend this class if you really like Native American history. The class consists of 3 five page papers, a few assignments, and a final presentation. He grades super lenient and also accepts late submissions. For example, I submitted one page for a 2 page assignment and still got an A on it.

This class includes 3 five pages paper, 3 assignments (2 pages), every week reading questions and 1 presentation. He gives really good feedback for the papers. For the first draft, he literally corrects all the grammar and sentence errors. The topic of this class is about native American in Northeast America which is the topic professor focus on.

Dr McBride is simply amazing. Since day one, he posts on huskyct what you are responsible for entire semester. Work load in his class is not much at all. This is 1000 level CA4 Gen ed class and Dr McBride treats it as such unlike some professor who teaches 1000 level class with 3000 level expectations and burden you so much with heavy work load.

McBride is such a chill guy who really does not expect too much from his students. As long as you do the papers and any other assignments, its an easy A. Three 5-page papers, one assignment, one quiz, and a 10-minute final presentation on anything related to anthropology or archaeology.

Class was easy, you really don't need to show up at all and you can still pass the exam. Do have online assignments due every week but those are easy too, and you have a presentation in discussion that can basically be done the night before. Dr. McBride himself is pretty boring, rambles, and doesn't try to make the material interesting at all.

His lectures are funny. Don't complain getting low grade in this class because all you have to do is know the material. I liked him.

This was a pretty easy class, I only went to a few of the lectures and still ended up with a high A. Do the reading and review the study guides given for class and you should be all set for the 2 exams, and go to as many discussions as possible to get quiz credit. If you show up for discussions you automatically get points on your quiz.

Took it last semester for gen ed requirement. You don't really need to go to the lectures as he basically just read off the things from his slides and the textbook. Quizzes in discussions but are not hard as long as you do the reading(not much reading indeed). Overall, it's a easy A class and he is a good person.

Kevin is a super nice guy but honestly you never need to go to lecture. Everything he talks about in lecture is taken word for word from the online reading you mandatory have to do, so as long as you're doing homework you've already heard his lecture. However he's a funny, laid back guy and the class is an easy A if you can just study notes.

McBride is a really great professorThere are a lot of opportunities to get your grade up in this class. There were quizzes every week on the readings and one group projects. He also gave an extra credit opportunity for everyone towards the end of the semester and the exams are straight-forward and easy. Would definitely take him again.

Okay I did not show up to lecture more than 3 times this semester. Maybe 4. I just read the online book and went to discussion. Easiest class. Simple concepts. Studied the night before for the final. Nice guy (from what I've seen). And I actually learned from discussion and the book.

Y'all absolutely need to chill because Anthro 1006 with Kevin McBride was the easiest class hands down I have ever taken at UConn. He's a nice guy and gives you tons of chances to succeed and every freshman that took this class and is upset needs to get real.

K Mac is the best professor at UConn. His lectures can get boring and he goes off tangent, but his class is easy and interesting. He gives "pop" quizzes on the assigned readings, but he emails you the questions ahead of time. His study guides have all the information you need to know for the exams. He's a great guy and passionate about his research

Professor McBride's class was one of the easiest I have ever taken. Not going to lecture won't hurt your grade as he makes all of his test questions based on book material rather than lecture material. The discussion group "quizzes" were ridiculously easy if you read the short 3-4 page articles each week. Only bad part was the group project.

One of the easiest classes I've taken at UConn. Dr. McBride is a really nice man and tends to spend most of his lectures discussing his research interests. His tests are easy and don't require much studying. He assigns little work in the class.

Lecture is pointless. A lot of irrelevant information on the slides. Weekly quizzes in discussion but those are easy if you read the assigned readings once. Your grade is made up of two tests, participation, a presentation, and your quizzes. The tests aren't too bad since he gives you a study guide. I got B's on both but an A in the class.

Anthropology 1006 is a decent course. I personally wouldn't recommend it for an easy Gen Ed. McBride only lectures and they get very boring, also their is only a midterm and final. However, make sure to do the extra credit essay as that can raise your grade substantially. Also, don't expect to learn anything from your TAs as they are quite vague.
