Very knowledgeable, kind man. He really knows what he is doing and explains it well for students to understand. You have to be willing to learn and take your time writing. He gives great feedback and will help you if you have any questions. I specifically signed up for a class next semester just to be in his class.

Not the most dynamic teacher by a long shot, and honestly most of the in-class sessions felt like a bit of a waste of time. However, he seems to have a lot of insight into the process of writing papers and gave constructive (if mostly negative) feedback. Not pleasant, but probably good for me long-term

As someone who loves literature and the act of writing, I must say that Dr. Radaker displayed a passion for English that was simply infectious. Every time I wrote an essay for him, I pushed myself because I wanted to gain his respect - which, consequently, improved my writing and reading ability. While his classes aren't easy, they're worth taking.

Comment:
Dr. Radaker is one of the most rude and arrogant professors I have had in my career. He is constantly rude, abrasive, and disrespectful to students under the mask of grading. Radaker will force you to be a better writer but will expect you to already be writing on a post-grad or doctoral level before taking his class.

I have had the privilege of taking three courses with Dr. Radaker over the last four years. Each one has been extremely challenging, but also rewarding. His high expectations have improved my writing and exposed alternative ways to approach literary texts. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to assist his students in any way possible.

Dr. Radaker's class is not easy and takes diligent work, but he is an extremely fair grader and strives to help his students do as best as they can. He is very forthcoming about what he expects and if you follow his guidelines a good grade is sure to follow. This is not an easy class, but it is beneficial and educationally enriching.

If you're not good with words, take him--you'll become a much better writer--IF you're willing to put in the effort. He's super smart, kind, and even a little funny at times! If you want to be lazy, don't take one of his classes and expect to get an A.

He's going to challenge you, and you may wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare about your paper for him, but you'll also grow a ton as a writer and in your ability to discuss if you do the work for this class. He's very clear on his requirements, and although intimidating, is an awesome prof and worth taking!

Dr. Radaker is awesome and I HATE seeing him with the green sad face!!! He is totally sweet and helpful; he is a hard grader but his personality makes up for it. If you're an English major you can't avoid him, but this is NOT a bad thing!!!! I just love his Thoreau obsessions and huge tangents that last the entire class.

I was afraid to take a class with Dr. Radaker because he has quite the reputation. I'm glad I did, though. His standards became my standards and I am better off for it. He's a really nice person, too.
