Comment:

What a great math teacher! I never spoke the language of math, and she really put concepts into a language I could understand. Homework was not required, but recommended to do. She gave four tests, and one was a take home exam. She is a real sweetheart, and I actually enjoyed learning stats. TAKE HER TAKE HER TAKE HER!

Professor Christensen is a delight. She gives you every opportunity to pass, if you fail her class you epically failed. With math, she grades on work shown and NOT if you had the correct answer. So if you show your work, she will give partial points. BONUS: index-card cheat-sheet.

She's an absolutely terrible teacher. She can't explain things to save her life. When you ask a question, she goes around it, and avoids actually answering it. She is not helpful what-so-ever. I emailed her to get help countless times and she never emailed me back. She uses examples instead of step-by-step explaining.I took it online and got an A..

The ex. she does on the board are so easy, and make you feel as if you understand math, then you see the test, and it's in a different language. She never curves tests, and could care less if the whole class fails. We would sit there and talk about how bad she is before she got there, and she was late everyday. Her voice is distracting..

Horrible teacher.. Doesn't explain examples she does on the board, expects you to already know everything. She doesn't grade fairly, we had a quiz and she gave another classmate 510 and the classmate just copied the problem from the board to her paper and I got 410 and I actually tried! Never again will I take a class with this teacher.

I took her my first semester there back in 2013 and I thought she was amazing! Super sweet and I liked how she did examples up on the board. On Our final she let us have a blank piece of paper and use the front and back side of it for notes. I'm horrible at math so she really helped! Passed with an A. I'm in math110 now and wish I had her

Great teacher! She is always willing to help, you just have to ask. You will have a quiz everyday but this will help you in the long run (if you are not a math wiz like myself) because those points really add up even if its only 5 points. She is super sweet and tries to explain things the easiest way possible.

She was not a hard teacher, just a bad one. The class included sitting there and just writing what she had on the board. No discussions about anything. She never explained anything fully, and it was awkward to talk to her in person. I personally never felt comfortable talking to her of class because it felt like I was talking to a blank wall.

Comment:

Prof. Christensen was a good teacher for me seeing as I had taken higher level math courses in High School and already knew the material. I didn't have to do anything in this class and passed with an A. However, if math wasn't easy for me I think that I would struggle immensely in her class. She is kind but pretty confusing.

This professor just does not work for me. Only does examples on the board, doesn't provide notes. Doesn't explain in detail how to work a problem. The only grades you get are tests, there's no cushion in grading. If you ask her a question she acts like she doesn't get how you don't understand it and can't explain why it works that way.

Warning, if you have any legitimate interest in Statistics as a major, don't take this class. She's easy, but she isn't a good teacher. I pretty much taught myself the entire semester. If you ask her a question, she really doesn't answer it. She just says "Life is short", and then wastes 20 minutes beating around the bush. Her voice is obnoxious.

Kim Christensen is really a sweetheart. She's very kind and tries to explain things as clearly as possible. Her voice is mellow and comforting, really she's the most mellow math teacher I've ever had, I would recommend her for anyone taking math 110!
