Comment:

She had an annoyed look about her, talked a little fast, and made a big deal about everything. Her student assistants usually graded our work, so I don't know how she grades really. She was pretty strict on certain levels.

Comment:

She assigns a lot of papers and rehearsal observations but I didnt feel they were tedious actually enjoyed them quite a bit. However she didnt allow us to see what we got wrong on tests and quizzes, for the final I didnt know which areas to study more indepth. She is very strict but also dependable also TONS of extra credit. Take advantage!!!!!!!!!

Project due almost every class we met and not just small projects; these were projects I stayed up until 4am working on. The only reason I am getting a good grade in that class is because of my previous art experience and talent.

Comment:

People that complain about her tend to be irresponsible and immature. Most of these complaints are that she wouldn't except late work. Welcome to college. She treats her classes like a realistic representation of the world. She expects you to have your work done and not waste her time. You will gain so many life skills if you put in the effort.

Comment:

Kristina is a difficult teacher, but you will learn from her. She's extremely helpful, but you need to find her. This isn't high school, and Kristina is not going to hold your hand when you're expected to be an adult. Theatre is a demanding industry, and she shows you that with her classes. If you can't handle it, you're in the wrong major.

This woman has a bad temper and is rude. I told her about an event before class started and she said "I don't care" and made me look foolish. she's a mean witch. She'll tare you apart if she can! NO SOUL!

Let me start by saying that yes, you will learn from her. With that said, she is a wicked, evil, old mule of a woman whose only goal it seems is to make life as miserable for students as it seems to be for herself. Goes out of her way to make you feel worthless. If I had to give an award for the coldest, rudest educator she would win it bar none.

Be prepared for A LOT of work in this theatre survey class. This professor worships her syllabus! She literally follows it word for word. Don't bother asking too many questions because you'll simply recieve the answer "Well, it's on the syllabus." As long as you keep up with your work, you should be fine.

I read the reviews on here and was scared for this professor. She's really not bad. She was very nice, but did not always get through lectures on time. Attendance not mandatory, but extra credit was given if you attended. As long as you refer to the syllabus A LOT and do all your work, you should be fine. Finished the class with an A.

This woman has made my semester a living hell. I love theater, and yet I look forward to math class more than survey. She takes so much time gathering opinions on ways she can help and then does NOTHING about the problems. She gives a crapload of homework and nitpicks your work until you fail. She also refuses any help- "It's all on the syllabus."

She's quite possibly one of the best professors I've ever had and I had her twice. She's always available with appointments for extra help. Don't let these other guys freak you out, she's harmless. Her standards are high but so are the theatre industry's. Just do your own work and and show up to class with your homework done and you're good to go.

She really isn't that bad. All of the assinments are on a calender so you know when its due. She makes everyone read the material like it's the Bible. She can be kind of hard and critical but it's not too bad. Good luck getting a perfect score on anything. Make sure to go to rehearsals early. Noe text book, just student manuals online.

She is totally in love with her power to squeeze students to death. She should not be assistant chair - she is vindictive and downright mean....but she smiles as she gives out punishment for imagined mistakes. Contradicts herself, plays favorites, and tries to trick you on tests. AVOID!

I have had no problem with Mrs. Tollefson whatsoever. People complain about her not being clear but EVERYTHING is in the syllabus! She is very kind and is not out to fail her students - she really does want to help. She knows what she is talking about - very smart. Is it so wrong that she treats every student the same? I totally recommend her!

It's a black mark on the entire department that she is the assistant chair. She loves to fail students and then claim she's helping them and that she has our "best interests" in mind. No matter how hard you try it's usually pointless if she likes you. This woman is the devil. Those who can do, those who can't teach. Sadly she does neither well.

This women is hated by practically every student AND TEACHER at UCF Theatre. She takes pleasure in other peoples pain. She must always be right, even if she's wrong. She has no idea the pain she causes students and faculty. Power hungry. Terrible human being.

Kristina is has the potential to be a good teacher but is not. I have given this a lot of though and I'm sure is because she doesn't have any real world experience. I really think she has a good heart and doesn't mean to come across as she does but she feels the need to prove her self as alpha female. Not a good managing style Kristina!

This women LOVES to be right. And if she's wrong, and you call her out on it, she will make your life hell at UCF. She hands out Academic Probation sentences like candy on halloween. She speaks very demeaningly. She doesn't test students on content, but on trivial things to see if you were paying attention. Takes pleasure from students failing.

This was by far the dumbest class I have ever taken. She gave entire lectures on why people should not talk back stage, so stupid. As for her, she was incredibly rude, do not bother asking her a question she'll act like it was the stupidest thing she has ever heard, also good luck on the critiques, if you can figure out how to get an A let me know!

She takes theatre survey WAY too seriously, giving us ridiculously hard tests and adding in trick questions "because she doesn't want it to be easy." All she ever does is lecture and talk about her stupid costumes.
