Dr. Cima is an awesome guy, super funny. Tests are hard, you have to read the book because sometimes the lectures are difficult to understand. Gives a good amount of extra credit. Randomly takes attendance.

He's a good guy who tries his hardest to make the material understandable. You will not get any assigned work besides a weekly post-lecture quiz, but I suggest reading each chapter before that week's lecture. Your grade is only based off of two tests, a final, participation, and these quizzes. (Use the study guide for the tests)

The material of the class is sometimes difficult to learn but you won't have any homework other than a weekly online quiz that's 5 questions. Take notes and study hard for the test. He's genuinely a good guy and will help you with anything you need. One of my favorite professors.

If you listen and take good notes in class you will get a B at least. Tough to get an A. You take an online quiz each week and that's all the homework you get. Not much work just pay attention in class and study the notes well before tests.

After 50 years of teaching, Professor Cima thinks his way of teaching is correct. However, when the class average on an exam is constantly below a 60%, there must be something off. A lot of the material covered on exams are not even mentioned in class, so be prepared to read the book. He is a great guy but his class is very difficult

Dr. Cima was a great teacher. He was very clear in how he explained things. Homework was a weekly quiz online, so you could use your book for it. The tests are made up of questions from the online quizzes, so those were a very good place to study. His tests were difficult but if you took good notes and studied from the quizzes you should do fine.

Comment:
Larry Cima, the right-winged nut who will ramble on about his points of view, is by far one of the worst, unclear, and boring professors I have ever taken. Get ready to read every chapter because 90% of what's on the test is through the book, not through lecture. By the way, make sure you participate in his class or things won't be good.

Dr. Cima is a great guy. If you show up to class and participate, he is very pleasant. Econ is not an easy subject.. if you read the textbook and pay attention to lectures you will do fine. His humor is on point, by the way.

He's got good humor, but he was telling our class about more than half have a grade below 60%. With help, limited time, and no interest in Econ, I cannot say that this class is going to be very easy. I would avoid him for anything beyond intro.

Cima's tests are supposed to be lecture based, however, his lectures ramble on about his political views and delusional stories. If you have the option take another professor.

Until I took professor Cima, I loved economy. He didn't teach me anything. He would come to class, draw couple of graphs, talked little bit about them, get lost a lot, didn't know where to continue. Disagrees with the book he chose, although the homework is by the book. The thing I learned the most in his class was his political views.

While he is in an interesting and at times a funny person, he loses track during lectures and usually doesn't explain things clearly. His homework, readings and lectures barely overlap making it difficult when it comes times for exams. Find a tutor and just do your best. Good luck.

My all-time favorite professor. Don't fault him b/c you are lazy & didn't read the material BEFORE class. He's great at explaining the material & adding his point of view along w/humor. His exams are very fair, he'll even add exam points if you can defend your answer well. If your goal is minimal effort & you expect success, good luck in life.

If you study, pay attention, and have a brain stem, you'll be fine in any of his classes. If at least 2/3 of these don't apply to you, you shouldn't be in college to begin with. Tests are based off what is discussed in class and homework, so having a good grasp on both is probably a good idea.

His has no clarity in his lectures. He is very unwilling to help and he loves to make you feel dumb. Half way through the semester 30 percent of the class will have dropped out.
