This guy should of never came back from retirement!!! This guy is extremely boring and tells useless stories. On tests he likes to put questions you don't have homework on or just had very few. My final had 2 questions we didn't have homework on or discussed. It was on a handout he gave us. The final only had 8 questions. Unbelievable!!!

Nobodys asking to be spoon fed material in this class, however, nobody asks to be put to sleep every lecture and be given no material. A horrible horrible teacher, and rambler. He spoke of pine cones for half a lecture once. Speaks very slow with lots of "and uhhhhhhh"s. Nice little curve and all but gives too much tedious homework. Too boring!

This guy is the worst rambler ever. Not only does he ramble on endlessly, he tends to ramble about horribly boring stuff. He barely ever does anything with relevance to the material. Occasionally he'll prove a theorem...but what good is a proof when you're trying to solve those twisted end of chapter problems

OMG, worst teacher ever. It took 5 hours to do the homework because he didn't TEACH anything! I taught myself most of the stuff in the course! Right before class even started I asked him politely if he can give examples from the book. He told me that he have to stick to a schedule so he can't give examples. This is the worst teacher I have ever had. I learned nothing in class. Everything I have learned in this class I learned on my own. When you go to office hours he often cant even do the problems himself. He give mock midterms that are way easy and then the test are completly different and much harded. I would not recommend anyone take him.

Worst professor ever. Never explains stuff or give concrete examples in his lectures. Stuff on homework and tests he never did in class. He is very boring just goes over proofs and tries to give math history lessons. He is like some old grandpa stuck in the past who belongs at home and not teaching classes.

Man, is this guy is being underrated by goons who want to be spoonfed while reclining on a divan! I didn't like him for 4 weeks, then bingo! I got him--this professor tells it like it is, so pay attention you goons. Read the book before lecture and after and you will have a great experience in class. Slackers need not apply. This guy is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He seems to know the material but he just can’t teach it. He never explains what he does in an understandable manner. Even when he speaks about the problem you can’t understand what he’s talking about. The mock tests are a complete waste except for the first one. This guy is just past his prime.

You know, you would think that at least SOME people would pass a midterm, but no. I'd say about less than 15% of the class passed the last midterm. This teacher is by far the worst teacher that I've ever had. How can you possibly pass a class that a teacher screws you over in? My advice: DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Dr. Harper is by far the worst teacher I have had in the 17 years that I have been going to school. Good teachers do not have a consistent fail rate of 95%. Tenure sucks in this case. He should of have retired 20 years ago. He once dropped his notes between the white board and wall and had to cancel class because he had no clue what to teach.

By far the worst teacher that I have ever had in 12 years of Public school in Riverside. The man has got the worst monotone voice that will destabilize any active interest that you may have in the subject with rapid efficiency. He cannot properly explain any concept in a comprehendable manner. His practice tests have nothing to do with the actual exams. There was a private preFinal help session taught by the TA on stolen time, he came in and took over. He looks kind of like Charleton Heston and MrRogers.

he is past his prime. the book he has for discrete mathematics is lousy and he just copies stuff out of it for the lecture... it's all very useless. I would have been better off getting a different book and just reading it myself. (Although the TA's are good.)
