Ayers is a very nice, patiant, and helpful teacher. He is very generous and fair on grading. If he see you working hard,he will reword you. He knows a lot of knoledge in ceramics, and knows how to teach us. I had learned a lot more then i expect this quarter. I think he deserve much more then this rating here.

Lee was wonderful! He was going through a very difficult time and still came to class and helped everyone. He made me feel good about all of my crappy pottery and graded on the effort you put into the class.

When I signed up for this class I was so enthusiastic and excited to learn how to "throw" on the wheel. Lee squashed my enthusiasm and was not at all helpful. He is an extrememly difficult grader and does not acknowledge the fact this class if for BEGINNERS. I would not recommend him for anyone who is not already artisticly enclinded.

He should be clearer as to what his grading policy is and what is required. I got the impression that the grade for my pieces depended upon what mood he was in at the time!

Lee has a great sense of humor, and he's very laid back. He is tough when it comes to grading though. He sometimes is "here and there" and you're not sure what is required. All around, he's a great guy and a good teacher.
