Comment:

One of the only professors that I have deep respect for. He encourages critical thinking without pushing his own personal beliefs or agendas on you, unlike countless other instructors. The assignments were not incredibly difficult, but they did require a lot of effort and thought. Overall a truly phenomenal professor, and a great class to be in.

Take Lee for 1C! You will become a better person, morally and open-mindedly. Upon the end of the semester, you will have learned so much and laugh at the fact that you knew so little prior to taking his class. As for the workload, its a non-issue; you will do just fine. Participate in class here and there = +10 brownie/recognition points.

I took his class in fall 09, but it was a very insightful class. Writing is not my strongpoint, but I still managed to get a B! Not too hard, just lots of assignments/journals. I enjoyed his class because he doesn't hold your opinion against you, but rather all he asks is for you to support! It really did change my outlook on how I see the world!

What an awesome professor! All the positive comments are totally true. This teacher definitely pushed all of us mentally, in the sense of challenging us to rethink EVERYTHING. We had 2 essays, 10 journal entries, and a final that consisted of short paragraphs from readings that you have to analyze. Workload wise, very easy but he grades hard.

This guy's the man. I needed an A in his course to transfer to USC and he gave it to me even though I only deserved a B+. Extremely helpful if you give some effort and he'll go the extra mile for you if he thinks you're trying. He also makes fun of hollywood movies which is pretty funny.

He constantly complains about how useless social sciences are & can be utterly rude when you ask a simple question. The readings all are followed by a in-class discussion and a 3-4 page essay. If you're looking for a professor who isn't negative-minded, then professor Reinhartsen isn't the one for you.
