I took her class online for Sociology and she couldnt be any more less caring about the student. If you miss one assignment you automatically fail no matter how well you do on the other assignments and tests. When you confront her and email her about it you get a response of basically too bad. Wouldnt take her classes again.

This professor are ony for the students who aren't lazy and are punctual. Learned the material fairly well with her and even though she only gives 4 quizzes in the year, i guarantee you'll pass if you just go to class and take notes. be responsible only bad critiquing i can do is that she gives no extra credit

This was an online class. It was not hard as long as you stick to her syllabus and get the readings, discussions, assignments and tests done on time because she will close them and theres no extra credit. Be aware that the rubric for grading is not in syllabus and you will need to reply to 2 other class members by name. 60 minutes to complete tests

Will lock the door and mark you absent if you're late. Only grades you on 4 tests. She is nice but does not let you make up any work !!! and if you skip you deff will not pass.

Comment:

She's amazing! Her tests are fairly easy if you study the notes, so write down everything she puts on the board or what she says pertaining to the topics. I bought the textbook but you could pass without it. However I got higher grades reading some topics in the book that I didn't understand in class. Show up and participate and you'll do great.

Comment:

Only 4 DB and assignments with corresponding tests, how hard can this course be? There is so much reading, it is all textbook based, literally no teaching was involved whatsoever in this course. She leaves out grading details and if you ask for her comprehension about a homework and want extra credit, she is extremely rude. Do not recommend at all.

AWFUL! She is unclear with grading criteria in an online class. Does not respond to emails promptly. I submitted an assignment that she said I didn't and refused to grade it. Honestly not worth it. She is truly an easy grader and there is not many assignments but dealing with her is very difficult.

Please do not take this professor . She doesnt help at all. She is very rude and inconsiderate about her students. I Do not recommend her , if you have the opportunity to take someone else. I advise you to do so. I have her online & she takes forever to respond to emails. I needed help with resetting a test and she didnt care.

I take this class online. She is not a bad professor, she gives a good amount of work. You have to work for your grade. Tests are okay. Does not give you extra time for assignments. Neither does she drop grades.

She is a good teacher. However, with the textbook there is an online website to help you along with the text and she has to set it up. She doesn't set it up. For tests she doesn't give you a study guide. She just tells you the chapters the test will be on. Everything is written out on the chalkboard. No powerpoints. Attendance MANDATORY.

Very rude woman and very tough on students. TONS of reading. Very biased when it comes to certain things. Gets off track too easily, almost impossible to learn in her class. Awful teacher, I would never take a class with her again.

Very tough on you. Does not drop grades. Makes you read read read. Test are tough. She does not give extra credit at all and lets the class go before time and arrives late. But still expects you to be on time ! Will not take again stay far away

I very much enjoyed her class, she's a very funny teacher who gets you involved. Shes very smart also. She knows what shes doing butto pass her tests you have to study but like any other class. Not too hard, very informative. She made the class very fun. I very much enjoyed sociology with her. Taking her again this semester !

Took her 102 class online. Makes it very clear what she wants and as long as you keep up with the work you'll pass! Definitely need the textbook for assignments, discussions, and exams. Exam questions were right out of the book. I would definitely take an online class with her again.

I really like Dr. Maida. She's a very good teacher, she makes it easy to understand and she tells a lot of funny and relevant stories. Tests were short and to the point, and pretty easy. Had to write a long research paper but she grades fairly. Overall I would recommend this class
