You either love or hate Dr. Haller, there really is no in between. At first she seems like a complete ass but if you talk to her you quickly see how nice she is. Shes very VERY vocal on her political views. Shes always in her office and always willing to help... if she knows you will help yourself. Great mentor and advisor as well.

Dr. Haller was one of the worst professors I have ever taken in my college career. She is very inconsiderate of her students and unprofessional. She failed me for the entire class for being 16 minutes late on an assignment and i had a 97 at midterms.

Comment:

Despite her opinionated/biased nature, and her disdain for religion, Haller is actually a good professor. She's very familiar with the material being covered, and truly enjoys teaching it. She encourages the class to ask questions, and provides multiple examples to help you better understand what is being discussed. She's pretty funny, too.

Comment:

Haller is the best professor ever. She prepares you for graduate school and doesn't sugarcoat anything. Her realistic view on school and the field of psychology is very helpful! 10/10 would take her classes again.

Haller is thorough, however you still need to do some reading in order to prepare for the exams. Sometimes she will lecture over topics on exams, sometimes she won't, all the more reason to read. Her lectures are never boring though, and she makes some excellent points. She may be strict, but she can teach lifespan development very well.

Dr. Haller is an amazing professor. She gets a bad wrap, because her methods are unconventional. But, if you go in with an open mind, you're gonna have a great time in her class. Her class is very lecture heavy, if you miss a day you're screwed. Also, if you're having a hard time, go to her office hours. She's willing to help if you reach out.

Dr. Haller is incredibly misunderstood. Sure, she has unorthodox classroom rules, but theyre only in effect for your benefit to stay focused in class. Her exams are rigorous, but Ive learned mounds of information taking her. And yes, she has a political side, but its time to stop being soft and realize theyre examples to help you learn.

There is 16 tests plus the final so 17. Those are not too bad as long as you read the material and powerpoints. But as far as the papers go she grades them very harshly and gives no leeway, the papers caused me to get a C in the class when I got an A on all of the tests.

Haller is definitely opinionated and her classes can be rough if you dont put in the effort. But I can honestly say she makes lectures pretty unforgettable because shes incredibly animated and hilarious.

I've had Haller before but sat in the back & didn't participate in class. This time around I sat in the front & participated & it really makes all the difference. She's a great professor & will always answer your questions without making you feel dumb. Very opinionated & she doesn't care what you think about it (esp politics & feminism wise)

She is the worst professor on campus. She constantly goes off on tangents and is extremely unprofessional in teaching. I have never met a professor as bad as her. She should not be teaching Psychology, let alone any class. Anyone that even remotely likes her is insane. Go to a doctor.

This woman genuinely cares for her students' success and is hilarious in lecture. She will not spoon-feed you, but if you attend lecture and learn the material you WILL get an A. There is a 4% cushion in this class from SONA credits and she makes sure to relate concepts to everyday experiences. If you perform poorly with Haller, it is not her.

This makes the second semester Ive had Dr. Haller in a row. I had her for intro; now I have her for Lifespan and another course. She really makes you work for the grade you get and is very opinionated. She is hilarious and coming to class absolutely helps you in the long run because she uses a TON of metaphors and real life examples.

She is horrible. If you're slightly religious or republican, don't come. She is very offensive, and her entire lecture is very based on her opinions. Get ready to write your hand off. She is a very rude person and should probably just consider acting professional. Really.
