I LOVE this professor. I took two Italian classes with her as it was a requirement towards my major and I couldn't have picked a better professor! Yes, she has very strong accent, but you can still understand her. She's very sweet, always adorable and makes the class fun. She will gladly help you too!! I would definitely recommend her!!

Agree from below, if you are not interested in humanities, please please stay AWAY! heavy accent, thought it was adorable at first but it got on my complete nerves. I hated going to that class, she always had a smart*ss remark to stuff. not fun, makes you read, if you dont she makes the rest of your time there completely akward. just stay away.

Very good teacher. She has a real exciting personality. In this class we just read some sections of Dante's Inferno and Boccaccio's The Decameron. If not interested in subject classes are extremely boring. Midterm/Final were incredibly easy if you just read what was needed. Essays are very easy and open to many topics. Recommend for I + L Cre

I totally disagree w/the comment below mine. If you got to ital 304 and don't understand when things are explained in Italian, then you obviously chose to take a class you weren't ready for. Passaro is a great teacher who truly wants her students to learn. She's definitely one of my favorite teachers at Central.

I have NOT learned one thing since i have been taking Italian at CCSU, the teachers, including Passaro NEVER review grammar, language, or explain concepts in English, even when the ENTIRE class has NO clue what she is saying in Italian. IMERSION is NOT WORKING FOR CCSU and these teachers REFUSE to help you learn in a way that is useful to the class

i think she is a really good teacher. her quizes, midterm, and final were extremely easy. she's caring and a fun teacher. she is really into class attendance, and it is a big part of your grade. overall i would reccomend her!

An amazing person with great personality. The sweetest person ever. She'll do anything to help you improve. She genuinely loves her students, and loves teaching in general. She does get a bit 'scattery' at times in class, but overall an awesome teacher.

how can I say this: She is an extremely warm hearted and caring woman, always available to her students, and as far as the classes go she is a bit critical, tends to babble and get off topic a lot, makes you fall asleep after a while and doesn't exactly follow her own syllabus, then changes it to make it conform to what she has strayed off doing.

She is a bit disorganized (assigns homework but does it on a whim and forgets what it was). Since this is an intro Italian course- it can get repetitive, but she varies the material (CDs, videos, dialogues, etc.) so you get a mix of everything. I would take her again.

Honestly she is a nice teacher, but she is just way too unorganized and does not teach the material that is supposed to be done in a certain class...She tends to interrupt people when talking so I would be careful, if it starts to bother you then I would go and talk to her about it. OVerall, she's nice, but I prefer the other teachers for learning
