I loved her! so nice and yes a little boring but her class is so easy! If you do the work and try you'll pass with flying colors. Rarely ever homework.

She knows what she's talking about, but because of that, she comes off as heartless. Instead of critiquing nonfiction essays on the way they're written, she critiques the content, and the content isn't always lighthearted. She told one woman in my class (who wrote about her relationship) that her best suggestion for her was to seek couples therapy.

This is class is easy. You will get an A if you write the 3 papers and show up to class. Class is boring and most of the time pointless, but you are graded on attendance.

The first half of the semester was mostly long, boring lectures. The second half is working on your major project in class. She is very quirky, but kind. Shows up late nearly every class, but lets you out early. There aren't very many assignments, but they are kind of big, but not difficult.

Dr. K's class was the most boring thing I have ever experienced. I skipped a ton because we would just sit in the classroom and spend weeks on assignments that could be done in a matter of hours. She would try to scare us into thinking that assignments were going to be difficult and then we turn them in and more often than not, get a 100%. EASY A.

Pros: She's an extremely nice, quirky lady who grades easily. As long as you follow her directions and turn everything in, you're basically guaranteed an A. Cons: She's often late to class, and she gets sidetracked really easily. Most of the class time is spent listening to her (sometimes interesting) stories.

Dr. Karanikas is probably one of the easiest professors I've had. I have a pretty good writing background, and the lectures were all stuff I'd heard before. Projects and papers were really easy: the hardest part was getting stuff printed for the major project (last big thing of the semester). She's always willing to help.

Karanikas gave a lot of free room for paper topics, which was nice. We wrote 3 papers, but the 2nd paper could just be the 1st paper revised if you wanted. The class was fun and not too difficult. We read a lot, but they were good books. It's not hard to get an A as long as you do the work.

I thought she was a decent teacher, kinda nutty and goes off on random tangents and she doesnt make a whole lot of sense when you ask her a question but her assignments are so easy. She really cares about what she is doing and has talked to me on a personal level several times. As a person she is great as a teacher she is very easy.

Sure, she shows up late but she apologizes. Her assignments aren't the hardest, she just expects you to get them done. I enjoyed the class, even with her oddities. Plus, she didn't make the final required. In fact, it was 100 bonus points if you went. I suggest her to anyone who needs a simple Writing II requirement

If you are a professional writing major, this class is going to be difficult. To me, she teaches it for the Lit and English majors. We have not read any essays that give an example of what a tech writer could turn in as a paper for the class. She pushes you into trying to get your work published. Class is entertaining but sometimes seems pointless.

She is most helpful one on one, and not in the classroom. Classes were terribly unstructured, but it led to some fun discussions with my classmates that I never would have in another Professor's class. And writing isn't about textbooks, it's about experience, so I think her class counts.

I had her over ten years ago. All of the oddities mentioned about her ar true. However, Dr. Karanikas did allow us to learn and proved to be invaluable to my education and career. If you need structure, this is not the class for you.

That below entry reads as if "Dr. K" wrote it herself. I thought the class was hard, and most of the time she did lecture was about her make-up company, or justifying why her class was beneficial. When professors have to persuade you to stay in the class there is something wrong.

There is a lot of useful information in this class. I am not sure what the gripes are prior to this. This class really confirmed and defined the way I already perceived the world, and no my views have been strengthened due to the subject matter. Dr. K is a very nice person, and she is very personable. Focus on the class. It's a good lesson for life

She graded easier in this class than for ENG 487. I honestly am not sure what the point of the class was. We turned in papers, but received little feedback. I only got one concrete statement to use for improvement all semester. As a person, she is interesting and seems nice, I just don't think we should pay $600 to hang out with her, as it felt.

I liked the discussion part of the class...but I never really knew what we were doing. I wrote papers because they were required, but couldn't tell you what we were supposed to write about. I got a B, but didn't eat the teacher's **** out. Maybe I was lucky? Would have preferred an A, but didn't know what was going on...Ever.

Everyone else is right, she's very nice but WEIRD. Assingments are vague, ask her to explain things until you understand them. Laughs by herself at strange things. At least 5 min late. Always a mix between amusing and disturbing. Easy enough, but doesn't teach much. We always just sit in the computer lab trying to look busy until it's time to go.

Stares at long intervals, laughs at RIDICULOUS things, late every day, unclear, and WEIRD.Hint- don't be afraid to ASK what she's looking for on all assignments b/c all are vauge.Easy class if u do it her way, but u won't learn anything. She might try to get u to enter her Arbonne pyramid scam. She's off her rocker for sure.Lay off the weed lady.

The class is the Hardest class I have taken here. The simplest of concepts she will make seem impossible. The assignments are vague, and she is never impressed with anyone except females in the class that eat her **** out. She laughs at her own jokes, a LOT. Don't take it unless you absolutely have to.
