I've never felt compelled to rate a professor before, but this woman is an absolute psychopath. Do not take her, period. She bullies students who aren't theater majors, and expects an insane amount of work for a 100 level course. At least 1/3 of my class dropped. This woman is a power hungry, control freak, and has over a decade of negative reviews

She's crazy . The class itself is not hard and you can bs your participation with just skimming the reading or not doing it at all. One of those profs who thinks her ideas are the only ideas that matter and makes the research paper you have to do very hard. 2 discussion leader presentations, a couple homeworks, midterm, research paper, final.

*****WARNING***** IF YOU ARE NOT A THEATER MAJOR DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! I never thought I would withdraw from a class until now. This class is death to your GPA. Youre expected to read and fully understand plays in a day or two. I regret staying in this course for this long. Think twice before you decide to take her!

Dr. L really cares about her students but the amount of reading and assingments given is extremely high. Nonetheless she is fair, she allows you to rewrite until you get the grade you want. I learned a lot in this class but it was struggle even getting an A-.

It is amazing how much she reads considering she never opens her eyes. Assigns an INSANE number of essays. If you are looking for an English class to fulfill core, do not take ANYTHING with Dr. L. You will regret it, I promise you that. Number of readings is also incredibly high, more so than any other English class. Be wary, look elsewhere.

She's difficult but willing to help. If you think theatre is an easy subject she will prove you wrong. Tough grader-- but she'll let you rewrite your papers as many times as you want to get the grade you want. Be prepared to work. Do NOT slack off.

Dr. LoMonaco is a great professor. Her syllabi are extremely thorough and helpful. She is incredibly intelligent, interesting, passionate and helpful. She will respect anyone who works hard in her class and is great about offering office hours.

I took this class for the core, not for a major, and it was the worst mistake. This lady is out of her mind and is the rudest and most condescending person you will ever meet. She treats the class as if they are a theatre major and have a PhD in theatre. If you want to ruin your life, take her!

She serves absolutely no purpose in life other than to attend almost every play ever produced twice.. oh and to make her non-theatre students, especially people in the business school feel stupid. She is a great teacher! Dr. L certainly has her unhelpful moments but if you are attentive in class and try to do the (few) writing assignments, she will do her best to help you out. She is really busy but she makes time if you can't make her office hours.
