I'll make this simple. I took this class with another teacher and got a D, I took it again with her and got an A. She's the best teacher in the world, and actually cares. Not a tough grader.

I graduated quite a few years ago now. Ive completed by undergrad and grad school at this point, but Dr. Wilkins is the greatest professor I ever had. She cares so much about her students and is so passionate about what she does. I highly recommend taking her class and getting to know her. True inspiration.

Took her class a couple years ago. Just coming back to say how much I dislike her. In all my years at penn state, the only time Ive EVER gotten a B was in this class. Im an A student who works very hard. She even referred me to penn state learning for my papers and I went. And I still got a B in the class. Regret taking her class. Ruined my GPA.

Professor Wilkins might be the greatest English professor I've had. Your grade depends on your performance on your essays, but that's where Doc specializes. She genuinely cares about your progress as a writer and is always willing to help you if you're stuck. An unforgettable class that's left me with a new love of writing.

Doc is THE best professor that I have had the pleasure of learning under. She truly cares about her students and their writing. If you ask her a question, she will always be there for support. There are 4 papers and a final presentation; each are 20% of the final garde. TAKE HER CLASS!

Doc is so funny and cares about every one of her students. The class is only 4 papers and a presentation, with a sprinkle of grammar work (I think we took 3 grammar quizzes the whole semester and they didn't even count for a grade). You pick any topic that interests you and she is always helpful during workshops. 11/10 would definitely take again

Doc is a real sweetheart. She is very particular, but as long as you put in a solid effort on rough drafts and ask her questions ahead of time, you will get a good grade. You pick all your own topics, and she is very accommodating about deadlines and due dates. She cancels class a lot and we rarely used the textbooks. I highly recommend Doc!

shes a great person and is extremely sweet, but she is a REALLY tough grader. if you are good at writing, take this class. if you arent but you care about your grades a lot, you will get a B even if you try your hardest. shes very nit picky with grading. you have to either be amazing at writing or very creative to get an A in this class.

Great professor, but extremely tough grader. Do not buy the required readings/textbooks, you will never need to use them. Going to class was enjoyable. You are graded on four to five essays and a presentation. The presentation is very easy.

She is the sweetest person. Don't buy any of the textbooks because I didn't open a single one. You honestly don't do anything in class, all you do is discussion. So you only really need to show up on the days that papers are due, however she does take attendance. In terms of grading, she is a real grammar nazi. Would take again.

Doc is a true diamond in the rough. She cares so much for her students , and really wants them to succeed. She is a tough grader and she sometimes takes awhile to get your papers graded. Easily one of the best professors I've taken. HIGHLY recommend. Build a relationship with her by participating and you'll love her class.

Really caring professor! I personally struggled with getting higher than a B on any assignment. Attending office hours helped to an extent but I still never did better on papers. Def one of the better english 15 professors.

I know I only have been through one semester of college; but, Doc may be one of my favorite professors ever. She is so sweet and cares so much about each of her students. She will take the time to meet with you as much as you need to and is willing to give a lot of helpful feedback on essays. Not worth buying any of the textbooks, you will get by.

Dr. Wilkins is one of the most caring professors/teachers I have ever encountered. She truly cares so much about each of her students. I look forward to this class every week. We have great discussions, she helps you so much on the essays, gives great ideas and feedback, and is all around an amazing person to learn from. She is a true Gem at PSU

Doc's Engl 015 was my favorite class last semester. Never liking english before, I looked forward to class each day. For each paper, she lets you pick your own topic, so you are never writing about something boring. In class discussions were A+. She dislikes snow and will probably cancel class if there is more than an inch. Do not buy good reasons!

Doc was one of the best profs ever. She cares about her students, treats them like they're her kids. She creates an environment where everyone is open with each other. There's no secrets in her class. She's a gem. She is a tough grader but she wants fresh ideas and things she's never heard about. Grammar is everything to her.

Doc was a great professor who cares about her students and their work. She can be tough, but she shows you how to succeed in her class. Other English sections had to do ridiculous video projects, but Doc is about papers. She occasionally cancels class and has flexible deadlines. Don't buy any books but Penn Statements. I didn't need them. Take her!
