Honestly, he's not bad but he ain't good. His class was based in groups, be friends with your group members, help each other, He gave 2x group projects. Quizzes midterms & finals were in groups. attendance doesn't matte b/c there's a sheet that your group can sign your name for it if you cool with them

Comment:

Hard of hearing, assumes your q instead of listening. Changed requirements without notifying on BB. Not really accessible outside of class, email is best opt. Doesn't lecture/write notes in linear fashion, erases VERY quickly. Assigned HW, didn't check it. Book not used in class. Final had Qs not assigned for HW or in review. good luck. Retire him.

He has trouble understanding his students sometimes. Whenever someone has a question, he stops the lesson and has to walk up to you to really hear you. Wonderful man, but I think it is time for him to retire. Had so much trouble understanding him in class.

It's not hard to just get a passing grade in this class. You can sign your name on the attendance and leave and he won't even notice. He's really old and his time for teaching is up. Why stay for a class when you can't understand 90% of what he's saying.

The Professor has a lot of knowledge to share, and he does. This is a formula heavy class , so be ready for math! He gives multiple choices for extra credit and will always give you solid reviews before the midterm & final. No homework other than reading.

The worst professor i ever had in my college. i honestly did not learn anything in the class. instead of teaching the course he would tell us his lifetime stories. If you ask him a question he asks you to repeat the question 3 times and he always says he will answer your question but never does if you can not take him i suggest nobody take this guy

Comment:

Tomkiewicz is really funny and intelligent. He is DEFINITELY a professor for Physics students, but you can pass if you just read the book and depend on your sense of logic when taking his exams. His exams are pleasantly simple if you just use logic and process of elimination. Don't be scared! He is a sweetheart.

No guide for midterm. He will tell you to read the whole book. The final is read some topics that you would never understand. During the whole semester, I was lost and had no idea how to deal with it. There were sometimes homework, but I donot think it will be counted into your grade however hard you work on it.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is a nice person, but his "lectures" are scattered, no one understands what is expected of them, and he grades literally 2 things throughout the semester. He is hard of hearing so even if you have a question he can't & won't answer it. We tried to talk to him after class, but he is not interested in helping at all. RUN.

I am taking the class right now and this is the worst prof. I've ever had. I'm an A student, but I don't know if I'll pass this class because I can't understand him, he doesn't explain clearly and he doesn't answer questions or grades homework. I read the entire book, and I'm still lost in his class, I feel desperate, I never felt this way.

Yes he has accent, but after several classes you will get used to it. It's best if you already have some knowledge of physics prior to this class. Before a test he gives review questions - and they will be on the actual test just slightly rephrased, so all you have to do is memorize them, same for the final!!!!!! deff recommend

He isn't the most clear, and he has a pretty thick accent that takes some getting used to. He also can't hear very well, he's getting old--but he acknowledges this and has a great sense of humor. However, I find him very humorous and he allows a lot of room for personal exploration in the topics we study.

He doesn't know how to teach. You can tell he knows what he's talking about, but he has no clue how to convey this information to people who are new to the subject. He's confusing and his tests will seem easy but you'll be shocked when you get your grade back. He's very picky about the essay questions. Only 2 assignments, but they're confusing.

Nice guy. Very smart (in his field). Learned absolutely nothing. Fell asleep almost every single session. No textbook requried. Final and midterm are based on graphs that he tells you to print out. Very easy. Final assignment was even easier. No effort required. I actually feel bad for him, no one is intrested in his class. Take him, easy B+.

Totally annoying, he just so full of himself a total narcissist. He is totally sure that he’s the greatest gift to humanity.When you ask a question he smiles with disdain and goes on talking about thousand things that have nothing to do with the topic. He is disorganized, I never knew the subject that he was referring to. Avoid him at all costs.
