Michael Wheat is my favorite professor at SDSU. He is inspiring both in and out of the classroom. He teaches his courses much like law schools teach their courses. In this course you will learn to defend and backup any topic even if you are pro or con. You will also learn to work professionally with your all your classmates.

Wheat is my favorite professor at SDSU. I took this class to understand more about law, and it ended up making me LOVE law. Even though attendance isn't mandatory if you don't go, you will have no way of knowing what goes on in class. Reading is mandatory to do good on tests. Two tests, one paper. Study hard and write your paper early.

One of the best professors I ever had at SDSU. Read and understand what the cases are about. Midterm is hard, paper is hard takes time so start doing it two to three weeks in advance. He will teach you so much!!!!!! Taking him again for CJ520.

Attendance mandatory if you want to do well. Participate in class! Not easy, but if you study off the guide he gives you before each test, you will do fine. Midterm, final, and 1700 word essay make up your grade. An A is possible... I got one. He will teach you so much and you'll be thanking him! Esp. helpful if you want to go to law school.

You'll either love him or detest him. Midterm is tricky; pay attention to the little details about the topics given on the study guide. Kind of full of himself. The books are important b/c they have cases, and many ?'s come from those cases. He can be lenient if you try hard. He'll correct you if you phrase a ? wrong in class. An A is obtainable.

Mr. Wheat is awesome! Seriously a cool guy. I learned everything I need to know about the CJ system. He is an asst. US Attorney and can teach you more then you thought there was to know. Midterm is extremely hard, avg is always a "D". Final is easier. Always go to class, most material is not in the books. WHEAT IS AWESOME!!!!

You have to go to the Federal Courthouse downtown for a project which can be difficult with busy schedules. The tests were difficult and require a lot of studying. He is an interesting guy and you can learn a lot from listening to his lectures.

I loved this course. Read the book and take good notes. I recorded each course, which made studying easy. DONT BE LATE! The project at the Federal Courthouse was awesome. Try to talk with the prosecutor or judge, you might just learn something. Take this course if you're interested in law school. The Midterm is hard, start studying early and review

this guy is definitely cool. he has a very interesting point of view, although its completely biased. the class was very informative.the test was structured so that no one would ever in his ten semesters of teaching would get anything higher than 84, most the class got c's and d's, but theres still a chance for upward mobility with the paper

Class on the function of the Prosecutor. If you are stupid and think Tookie was innocent then do not take this class he will probably make you feel stupid for thinking that. Wheat was kind of funny and he does look like Karl Rove.

Seems a little intimidating at first but turned out to be an okay guy. Very sarcastic and talks very fast so it's hard at times to keep up with taking notes. The midterm was hard and so was the final but everyone does bad on them. You have to spend a day in court and write a paper. Overall, not too bad but I wouldn't take him again.
