Professor Haga's class is without a doubt the best class I have ever had at CofC. It is so interesting and he is a great professor. The tests are hard but you learn to see what he is expecting of you. Just read the study guide he gives you, it will explain EXACTLY what you need to know. If you want to develop-take his class.

here's the deal. You need to pay attention in class because he will TELL YOU what is on the exam. It took me a few bad grades to figure this out. He really respects people that come for help and my grade has improved quiet a bit! I would not recommend this course if you are looking for an easy 'goof off' humanities, but best professor i've had!

While he is very entertaining during his lectures, his tests are extremely difficult. He goes off on tangents during class which are interesting but not helpful to the test. His standards for grading are impossible and he is extremely picky. I do not recommend the class.

night class once a week. dont expect to goof off or play on your phone because he will call you out on it. the more you engage with him, the better he will recognize your participation. prepare to read the chapters because there are pop quizzes. the exams are based off slides but he will prepare you for that. i thought i was failing but i got a B-

Haga is difficult. But he keeps class really interesting. His sense of humor is hilarious and makes the whole class laugh. his tests are very hard but if you go to him in his office he has no trouble adding points back just for coming to see him and talking to him about your answers! He is an awesome teacher! Take him if your willing to work!

Great teacher, you will learn. Be sure to write in your own words on the test. This class was about interpreting multiple sources and synthesizing it into a cohesive description about the culture and the art it produced. His stories are about understanding the people that created the art. You can't regurgitate facts and do well. You have to think.

I took Haga during my freshman year, and as a senior I still regard his class as the most challenging and rewarding that I've taken at CofC. He expects his students to learn and think critically. He holds mandatory meetings to discuss student exams and progress, which is very helpful. Take this class if you actually want to learn something.

His class is based on reading the textbook sections you're assigned, and he will tell you that right off the bat. His tests are basically write everything you know about this piece of art. With that being said, though, he does his best to engage students and is very helpful and accommodating if you make the effort.

bouncy personality and likes to joke around. His tests are difficult, but so are the other art history tests I've taken from other teachers. If you miss a class you will be sorry- not because of him, but because there is so much material covered. VISIT HIM IN HIS OFFICE and let him know your name!

DON'T DO IT!! Test are HARD and he loves using his red pen. He marks points off for little things that shouldn't even be noticed. Large amount of reading every week, lots of pop quizzes and unpredictable tests. I do NOT recommend it..

I absolutely loved his class! Yes, his tests are difficult but if you're prepared you should be fine if you're interested in art history. He keeps his class entertained the entire time. Show up for class and definitely visit him in his office. He wants to help you and help you do well. You'll learn so much!

You better be REALLY into art history in this class. Haga is really particular and he'll butcher your writing until you feel like an idiot. I was able to exempt english classes when I got to college, and I actually had to go by his office to talk about my "writing". Absolutely awful. He grades way too harshly for an entry level. Get out of it now.

Do not miss any classes. Pay attention to the study guides and his hints during class. Best way to study is to make notecards with slide pics on them. Lots of reading, but if you keep up, you'll be fine. I learned heaps in his class. He's hilarious. Definitely a great professor.

By the WORST professor I have ever had. Three hour, EXTREMELY boring class on Monday nights. His test were literally impossible. According to him, his tests require 8-10 hours of studying. This is absurd for a 101 intro level class. I ended up withdrawing from the class. I have never been so frustrated in my life.

The stories mythological stories are hilarious and he is a riot! If you are signed up for this class and thinking about switching DON'T! It is such a great class!

After an F on my first test I thought it was hopeless. I gained an understanding of what he was looking for after a while. Haga is super sweet and entertaining. He knows his facts, and he expects the same from his students. I wish he was my Bible teacher when I was a little kid. He makes the stories so much more appealing! "Once Again, I digress".
