Dr. Reed has no idea what she is talking about. I have taken all 3 mandatory classes with her. She confuses herself easily and does not help with questions because she confuses herself. I spent a lot of time explaining myself and solid (and basic) math.

Comment:

Very simple class but almost all group work so choose your partners wisely. Class tested if I knew how to use math modeling not if I know how to teach it. Would have liked more practice making lesson plans and scaffolding. Easy class if you show and do the work.

Michelle Reed is a good professor but sometimes she has a hard time explaining the material. Overall, she is a very helpful person and an easy grader. I would take her again!

Comment:

Dr. Reed is a great professor, and her classes are great for future teachers. The content is easy to learn. Things you should have learned in middle school. The point of the class is to learn how to teach the content, and master it. It is shown that people learn better from teaching each other, that is the point of the group work.

Unfortunately, I can't say I learned anything in Dr. Reed's class. She rarely teaches, you just do activities in the workbook for the whole class. Don't bother asking questions, she'll probably just get confused and walk away without answering it. Take Zizzo instead!

I really do like Dr. Reed. She's a good professor when she taught the information, which was unfortunately rare. It was simple math, that should have been an easy A. The textbook that Dr. Reed requires (and no she won't change) was so confusing. Overally though, I got an A, which did require more work than it really should have.

Dr.Reed is a very kind lady but is very hard to learn from. She confuses herself as she is "teaching" the class and leaves you more confused sometimes. If you have the option to take the class w/ someone different i would, but she isn't all that bad.

Reed is a nice lady, but her class is torture. The funnest part of her class is watching her repeatedly confuse herself while she tries desperately to teach simple math. I have learned nothing from her. The entire class is a review session.

Dr. Reed is very good. The class is largely independent in style, but she is there, ready to help you if you have any questions and summarize the material that you've worked through in class. The class isn't that hard, but it does encourage you to think about the statistics you're looking at and what they mean. I definitely recommend Dr. Reed.

Dr. Reed is such a nice lady. She's very flexible, but her STT 342 class is better. I don't think she really knows algebra as well as STT. I would much rather take Reed over Farrell ANYDAY though! Reed doesn't baby you & talks to you like you're an adult unlike Farrell.

Dr. Reed is EXCELLENT. She really knows about math methods and really wants her students to learn a lot and do well. She understands time constraints on her students and she is very flexible and understanding. I definitely enjoy her classes! I would highly reccomend her.

Super nice lady! very helpful. The class is not a lecture, you work with a partner on everything. The tests are pretty hard. Just ask questions & you'll be fine. Need the book, takes attendance, but you can leave early.

Dr. Reed is an excellent math teacher. She does not "baby" you along with brain-dead work, but if you need help or ask questions, she explains things very well and is very helpful. Class isn't too hevay work-wise, just stay caught up with the class work and do the little bit of homework there is.
