you have to take one of his classes to know how youll do. I can learn from him, but some people cant because they dont pay enough attention or cant stay focused. If you can follow along and take notes that you understand, youll do fine because his tests are open notes and hes and easy grader AND he drops your lowest grades.

Daven is hands-down the best math professor at the Mount. As long as you take good notes, you will pass. His tests are all open notebook!! He is sure to provide you with plenty of practice in class, and he is always sure to answer your question.

I had Mike for 5 or 6 classes throughout my time at the mount. I've been out of college 6 years now, and remember that Mike was a cool guy, always willing to help you. Looking back, the open note tests were nice at the time, but it would have been better if notes weren't allowed.

Started out as a fine teacher, but then he stopped teaching all of a sudden and expected us to just know what we were doing with new material. His lectures were so drab and slow paced it was hard to keep up any interest. Left half of the problems we did in class unsolved! He would help if you asked, but it was so hard to catch him.

Very cool guy, down to earth. As long as you attend and take notes, you should do well. Attendance and homeworks are crucial, they can really screw you if you dont do them..all in all Daven is a super trooper, definitely recommend any class with him.
