Everything here is true... except he apparently grades very forgivingly. I earned an 84% and just discovered I was given an A (class average before final was 66%). Yay Dr. Charles!!! Take him if you aren't whiny and can learn on your own. Remember, in addition to a thorough online tutorial, there's a math lab available and a decent textbook.

What a joke. He doesn't reply, doesn't teach, doesn't comment, doesn't have a plan, doesn't follow syllabus, doesn't get dates correct, doesn't have the right answers, doesn't answer his phone, doesn't grade, doesn't provide information AT ALL. Pretty much, he doesn't do ANYTHING. He's just a name on the paper for this class. What a waste of time.

If you think of Professor Charles as simply an online moderator; someone to turn in your final grades to admissions, then you'll be fine. WebAssign is a great program, especially if the material is review (most of the students had taken algebra in highschool). If you're looking for a Stand and Deliver inspired classroom, then look elsewhere.

Worst teacher ever. Never heard one word from him and we thought class was over and now he posted a final without notice. This teacher should never be allowed to teach again if that's what you call it. what a joke. Online doesn't mean invisable

If you came to class everyday, didn't talk or ask questions and turned in all your homework he was a nice enough guy. If you talked, or seemed to, he got really mad and even threw a few peeps out. He did not teach well, and often got his own problems wrong. If you know how to do the work already, take his class. If not this class will suck.

Dr. Charles is a good teacher, if you don't understand the material then he will review it. Also his tests are multiple choice and if you do the homework you will have no problems with the test. I would recomend this teacher to take. Attendance and the book are both mandatory.

what can i say that hasn't already been said? well, regardless of my ratings and how much i agree with the other raters.. i still kinda like dr. charles. i'd rather have an easy teacher like him who hardly gives out hw than a super hard teacher who gives out way too much to do. LISTEN INTENTLY (yes, he is hard to understand) and STUDY THE BOOK.

I currently maintain an A in the class, but that is only because I study a tremendous amount because of all the time I waste in this class. He consistently will get problems wrong on the board, degrades students who get the wrong answers, and when you ask him about more difficult problems he will tell you to figure them out yourself!

Supposedly just retired from the service.So as a fellow service member I thought he would understand that I had to miss 2 class dates. I was hospitalized for a serious training injury.he dropped me the date I was absent.I left 3 messages and made various attempts to meet him.He never called back or explained why he defaulted on it being ok.

Put as much effort as you can into your work and he grades according to that. He's very understanding if your confused. I highly suggest taking the ONLINE COURSE-no problems with this course! I do recommend Professor Charles online course.

He comes to class late with a smile on his face, He talks about the wierdest off topic things and he gets angry and belittles the student who tries to ask for help. At the same time he explains things and you can only make out 1 or 2 words per sentence. What makes things worst is you can't even read what he writes on the board. A 3 looks like a C

Doctor Chaarles is a horrible teacher he comes to class late all the time rambles, messes up on almost every math problem he tries to solve and leaves class often to talk on his phone. there is no hw except a chap. review due on the day of the test. he is a horrible math teacher and doesnt help you unless your a genius at math. dont take his class!

i loved this class. i took him for math 95 also. there's only homework due the day of the test. he's also pretty funny when he can't solve a problem, that's pretty frequently. i haven't learned a thing in his class. the only reason i passed was because i had previous knowledge. don't take him unless you know your math, you won't learn much.

this guy looks like he got back from the bahamas and walks in the class w/a cuban cigar scent. funny guy who gets stuck answering math problems. all you really have to do is read from the book and you'll be fine. were the easiest math classes i've taken. i spent half of the semester in math 96 ditching, and i still got a B. LEARN FROM THE BOOK!

i find if you don't like him it's cause your not ready for mtth. Nice guy, funny, and regular guy. He cares about peaple, but doesn't put up with them. He saved me in math. You must also want to do well in math. People who don't like him are just to immature.
