I forgot to rate Nancee, I took her Course I believe in 2017 and her class is a lot of work to be honest but it is all worth it! I learned so much and I actually enjoyed English class! The homework and papers were always on interesting topics I wouldn't mind or complain about like other boring classes. If you ask for help she will gladly help!

Comment:

Definitely my most memorable Mesa class. I transferred to UC Irvine last year and this class was for sure the most valuable to me at 4-yr. We also read her book Don't Get It Twisted in my class,both in class and in her book she has a way of breaking down important things about writing and thinking. Love her heart and intensity, so real. Best!!

Comment:

Nancee is a one of a kind professor. While her class does require a fair amount of time to be dedicated to it, the things you will learn transcend much further then the four walls of her classroom. Her lessons are meticulously crafted to capture the classroom and have helped me better understand the world we live in. Make sure you take her class.

Legendary, inspirational prof! Great class, take her! She's amazing at making people comfortable to speak up & our class had lively discussions on interesting. My class used her new book Don't Get It Twisted & exams and in class essays are open book (but tough. Nancee's class & book taught so much. Some nerding with logic but that's passion

Comment:

Kesinger has to be the best engl 47 teacher in Mesa College. Expectations aren't high. Attendance is mandatory since she passes out a lot of hand outs, a couple of writing assignments, quizzes and around 2 test through the semester. Final exam was a written essay.

Nancee is one of the best professors I've had. She is very real, gives great feedback, introduced thought-provoking issues, and teaches way outside of the box. The things you will learn with her will help you throughout the rest of your life as a student and critical thinker in all areas of life. Can't recommend her enough.

Such a great teacher. She actually picks interesting and relevant topics to go over! She does lecture, but she is funny and keeps it real. You have to go to class and put in effort, but she makes you want to show up. She has a great teaching style. As long as you are there and trying its an easy class.

Professor Nancee is really funny and makes class interesting, be ready to read a lot of handouts and not lose a single sheet of paper because you will need every single thing that you read or hear in class for the exams, she allows notes but be very detailed and specific when taking notes in class, not an easy class but at least it's not boring

She is one of the best teachers at Mesa college. She is super down to earth and a wonderful person. She only requires you to buy a dictionary for class and prints all the required reading materials out for student. Attendance is very important for passing this class

Her lectures are super interesting and are related to real life/current issues. Everything she talks about in class is fair game on the exams (don't skip clas). She's funny and really honest. She cares about her students and is passionate about her job. Get ready to have a binder for only her class bc there's lots of handouts. Don't skip readings!

Best teacher I've ever had. Hilarious and incredibly smart. I learned more from her class alone than all of my other classes at Mesa put together. Couldn't have asked for a better teacher! Lots of work but all worth doing and truly helpful with life knowledge. I looked forward to her class every week.

I had Nancee for Spring of 2014 but I can still say she was absolutely awesome! Plan on reading everything she gives you. I reread everything at least twice. All her quizes/tests can be aced with the reading. She's strict at first but she is actually really cool. She's been at Mesa for 25+ years! Definitely try to take her before she retires.

She taught me that the dictionary wasn't just for word spelling. Now I try not to jump oveer words bc I know the dictionary can help me build my knowledge more. We did activities in groups for points and she wanted us to play with words and ideas. There was lots of writing for a class called college reading but readings were fun and interesting.

A prof you'll never forget. She keeps your attention and teaches with clarity and humor. Always engaging and encouraging but has very high standards so come to work bc she'll push. It was sad to leave her class, plus she's kinda thick and hot for a mature lady. Take her, you won't regret it.

She teaches from the heart and the brain. Her passion is obvious and she sets high expectations for everyone. Our book was one of the best I've had and will stay in my collection. Don't miss class or you'll lose info needed for the exams and assignments which are super detailed. Her class is a must and my writing is way stronger thanks to her.

If you wanna learn more than what a text book has to offer, take her. She has somewhat high standards and at first comes off as a doesn't mess around professor, and she is, but she is worth it and not as scary as she seems the first week. This class was an eye opener and thought provoking and I would and have recommended it to everyone. Take her.
