Nancy often talks down to her students, this creates a very stressful learning environment. Her grading is very harsh and she doesn't allow very much creativity in her assignments. If you don't write exactly like her.... good luck!

An easy class with clear instruction and examples to follow for all assignment. Each assignment offers an opportunity to redo the work. Notes are provided to edit the homework for a higher grade.

This professor is unorganized and unavailable most of the course. Emails are rarely acknowledged. Her assignments and expectations are unclear. Her class handouts and lecture notes are poorly constructed and desperately need proofreading. Her grading is subjective. I would not recommend taking any course with this instructor. Avoid if possible.

I think Prof Schneider is one of the worst professors at UMA. She expects way too much out of her students and has a lot of writing assisgnemnts through the semester. She expects you to write just like her and if you dont you do not get a good grade. I am getting a good grade in this class because I revised everything. My advise is to revise paper

She expects a certain level of commitment from her students, and she doesn't tolerate a whole lot of foolishness. But if she knows you're trying, she will give you all the help in the world. She's strict, but I think she's a very good teacher. It's not a class you can just show up for though. Expect to do the work.

She is a very thorough and clear instructor. There is a lot of writing required, and yes, it must be just right for her to give you a good grade. But, she tells you exactly how to put out a good paper, so if you fail, it is YOUR FAULT. Her coursepak has clear examples that you go by, and if you email her with questions, she gets right back to you!

She is the most organized and best professor I every had. I learned a lot about professional writing; the class helped me a great deal. She expects you to work, but I would definetly recommend her!
