Comment:

Dr. Nestor is my personal musical hero. He is the ultimate choral conductor and composer. I have learned so much from singing in his Chamber Choir and I've been doing this for quite some time as I'm a "returning student." He is totally brilliant, quick, expressive, devoted to his work, and funny. It's been a priviledge to study with him.

probably one of the best people to work at BTR with. he's a complete musical genious. and when you get to know him, he is always there for an opinion. awesome guy. bum a cig off him sometime and he'll end up talking to you for an hour about anything!

Nestor is the best choral conductor I've ever worked with. He is a musical genius and keeps his students engaged in their work. The thing is you HAVE to work. The only downside is that he is a very busy man and doesn't have much time for individual coaching or assistance outside of class. He tries his best and will offer whatever help he can.

Nestor is HOT! I never used to pay attention to my choir directors, but I can't stop gazing at his dreamy blue eyes. He's a brilliant artist with a wacky sense of humor.

Generally, Nestor is a cool guy. He knows A TON about choral music and creates awesome programs for our concerts. I have a lot of trouble hearing him though and oftern find myself not ready to begin singing on the downbeat because I have no idea were we are...he also goes off on tangents and usually I can't hear what he is saying. It frustrates us.

An amazing music director, FRIGHTENINGLY knowledgable in all fields of choral music. A wonderful composer, who writes well for singers. If you come into his chorus expecting something easy and fun, you will be sorely disappointed. He demands a great deal from his singers, but gives back a great deal.

Nestor is a complete jerk. He doesn't care at all about the students. If he does not like you then you are totally screwed. He isn't helpful at all! I have been in about 8 of his classes throughout 4 years, and all he does is have the students teach. He is a horrible teacher. He does not teach, doesn't care about students, treats students differently than others, fails you on OPINION questions, doesn't support his students...etc...he should not be a teacher

a brilliant, tough teacher who really demands everything of his students in chorus or in class. very articulate, and truly cares about our education, or else he would not ask so much of us. if everyone puts in as much work and energy as he does, they will be successful
