I took CIS 002 and absolutely hated every second of it. This man has a pompous attitude and sets up his students for failure. His sarcasm, snide remarks, and his inherent ability to be an A hole never ceased to amaze me. Doesn't give out a syllabus calendar at the beginning of the semester and finds a way to make Microsoft office confusing. SUCKS.

He is ok, I took his class and got an A. The class is not too easy but he gives a lot of extra credit, and if you do the homework you can fail the tests and still get an A. He is a very smart guy, but includes too much writing for a computer class.

I'm taking online Intro to Computing. This class is SO confusing. He doesn't post assignments until last minute and you never know whats going on. He can't just straight forward tell you what the assignment is, he has to write these long ridiculous emails so its so hard to keep track of everything. SUCH A CONFUSING CLASS. DO NOT TAKE IT.

I have had really great teachers at WV, sadly, Fenton was not one of them. He could be rude at times, and did not teach the class as well as I think it could have been taught. Many classmates felt the same way I did. I was very disappointed and happy when the class ended.

Bar none the WORST teacher I have ever taken at W.V.; you learn nothing; he likes to make fun of people when they ask questions; avg. grade on his tests are close to 50%. Horrific teacher in general; if you don't have to him, DON'T!!

Nice guy, but lecture extremely boring. Go to class for instruction, homework not too hard, tests ok, but if you do the all the homework you can turn in TONS of extra credit so you can still get an A no matter what.

I tried to take a summer class with him. The SAM literacy software file is poorly designed, allowing only for one-way solutions to the problems. I found him condescending to his students, and I had a lot of trouble doing the work for this class. He has a difficult job, and tries to make his class mean something, but the attempt just feels too much.

He was kind of a jerk at first, but got a little better as the term went on. Like everyone has said, he takes every opportunity to talk about someone in his family or a life experience that he has had, which is annoying. Nonetheless, he is pretty easy. Class is out of roughly 400 total points, and there is a 50 pt extra credit assignment. Easy A

Very easy class about the basics of computing. Class time is basically composed of a lecture and MS office exercises. Rambles about France alot. It doesn't take much effort to get an A in this class, unless you're completely computer illiterate.

Very sarcastic & not funny at all! The classes are pretty boring but very easy. He likes a lot of questions-don't be afraid to ask them-it's better to get the answers rather than him talking about nothing the entire class, like he usually does!

Patty is funny. Sure the class is 2 hours and can get boring, but he doesn't care if you're there or not. A sign on his door reads "Who Cares?" Very laid back, but very intelligent. Tells good anecdotes. Papers aren't hard and all and even if you do a bad job on the 2nd one justt present for 2x pts!

SMART ASS!the class is easy its just changing the format of documents for the most part. his 2 term papers are easy one is building your own comp and the other is an opnion paper. really easy plus you can take up space by adding pictures and charts. you bever have to go to class either.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! i didnt learn anything!!!!! you need to read like 300 pages for each test! and the tests are really hard! you need to write two papers! if you dont pass the tests, just do the oral presentation for the extra credit and you will get an A! but you will not learn anything!
