He likes to be rhetorical which can be confusing and is a super hard grader. he teaches well though and gives you lot of tips on how to better your writing. Have to show up or else your going to miss stuff (homework, essay topics and tips) and probably get lost or fall behind. Show up, take notes, put in the effort and you'll get a good grade.

Alright, so I took this professor last year - in 2017 but took him for Fall 2. There are many essays in this class and you need to follow lots of criteria to get a decent grade. He always gives feedback on the essays and lets you do them over for a chance at a better grade. It made me a better writer overall but the class was unnecessarily tedious.

Lost my essay papers not once but twice during the year forcing me to be behind when he handed everyone elses back. Unclear and extremely specific in what he wants from a paper despite not giving students a good starting off point. Honestly I liked him for the beginning of the year but as it progressed I ended up hating him.

I needed this class the most, and to be honest, his lessons are extraordinarily helpful for any writing assignment. You will work hard along with a new assignment every class. If you follows his writing criteria, you will leave this class with a minimum of a B. He's not out of this world amazing, but I have no concern to recommend this professor

When I first looked up Professor Grant's rate on here I was completely terrified and thought I was going to do horrible in his class. However, there aren't enough rates that shows that he is actually a pretty good professor. Is he hard? Sort of. But he definitely helped improve my writing skills that none of my high school teachers ever taught me.

Don't take him. He will not give an A for anything. He is the hardest grader. Unless you want to fail, don't take him. He is unclear in how he talks and jumps from subject to subject in 3 mins. He is terrible.

Horrible Teacher, treats his class like high schoolers. Also doesnt allow any form of technology including laptops so i felt like I had bought a $1000 paperweight when i learned that about his class. Dont take him unless you enjoy being in the stone ages.

Don't take him. He treats the class like high school students. Rude, picky, and doesn't help you with your writing. During class, he taught things like prepositions, stuff that little kids would learn. The tiniest mistake on your homework or papers would severely affect your grade. His class is a joke. Take someone else who can actually teach.

Have you seen college students’ writing skills? They can’t write! I notice everyone who gave him a bad review can’t write either. He’s hard, yes, but you have to learn how to write ACADEMICALLY. It is not his fault if you lack education in the English language. He shows great techniques for writing and is a great teacher if you actually try.

I at first highly disliked him because he is a hard grader and called on me too much. But eventually I got used to him and he eased up on me with the grading. You will become a better writer throughout this course if you work hard and show up.

Speaks in riddles sometimes, mostly to amuse himself. His pep talks almost always veer into condescension, and he has a huge ego. But if he can slice through his BS, he's a knowledgable, if challenging teacher with tons of insight on how to write a great paper. He's a pompous guy, but I am a better writer after taking his difficult class.

Doens't know how to grade. Even if you follow his direction and try to do best you can, you'll fail. He should stay in high school and not come in college to teach.
