I would not recommend her for IDC 4001H. The topic (healthcare law) is interesting, but there was an unnecessary amount of work. I have taken IDC's in the past that were a lot of work, but this did not even approach that. Furthermore, she grades the papers very harshly.

Very rude professor. When I took this professor in Spring '18, I was battling a very serious disease. I missed class for two weeks because of such. I was in the hospital,quite literally fighting for my life. When I was discharged I saw an email from her, quite literally harassing. In her email she cc'd my classmates and the ITF, to embarrass me. OZ

This seminar is focused on health law. Three 5-7 page papers. One group project: 10 minute presentation with 4 group mates plus a 10-15 page paper. A couple short blog posts. Weekly readings consisting of court cases, NY times, and wall street journal articles. Prof Walter is very knowledgable, you will learn a lot, just be ready to work hard.

Professor Walter goes through homework problems, pay attention to those and you'll do fine on the midterms and final. You don't really need to read the textbook, just understand the concepts. She's nice, but she usually comes late and will call you out if you arrive later than her. If you want to leave a good impression, you need to participate.

not an easy class. lectures are slow. not sure how to make notes. 35% of the grade is midterm, 50% of the grade is final, 15 % - participation and mindtap online assignments. essay format exams. be ready to work hard

Despite that the class was a large lecture-style class, she demands participation. She is a TOUGH grader on the exams, know all legal terms! You must read ALL of the material before class or she WILL know, and she will call you out. Also - she does not allow students to enter that arrive more than a few minutes late. Pros: she knows her stuff.

okay experience. she is a tough one, and will call you out if your answer is wrong. she does make you feel dumb at times, and she doesn't tolerate lateness, meanwhile she is late everyday. I did learn from the course, so that is good. make sure you participate because she does actually count it in the grade. midterm, final and participation count!

This is a class you need to take seriously. One midterm and a final. Tests are cumulative so keep notes. Make sure to do case briefs and problems she gives.

Honestly if you pay attention to how she words answers to the problems in class and do the same thing on the midterm and final, it's an easy B if you're mediocre and following along. Grading is clear, textbook is a must, makes you participate. Overall Solid Professor.

She's one of the best professors here at Baruch in my opinion. She tells you what she expects from the jump. Your textbook and your syllabus is referred to as your bible. Always have it on you; it really helps. Lots of reading and short answer question. Midterm looks exactly like the Finals. Always use legal terms on both exams

if youre let she will rip into you. she will lock the door and not let you in meanwhile she is always 10 mins late. i didnt mind her lectures but her midterms and tests she doesnt even care if you give the right answer. you just need to know your terms but she is such a hard grader and barely gives over a 90. her voice is kind of annoying too

She is a great professor. Explains every detail thoroughly and repeatedly to make sure you understand every thing. She required us to take the actual textbook to class everyday, luckily it is not too heavy. Online hw and textbook hw. But what really matters for your grade is the midterm and the final. The textbook is key to passing this class!!!

Professor Walter is a very knowledgable woman, and she knows a lot about just any topic. She explains everything in detail until everyone understands, but she is a tough grader. It was her first time teaching the course, so she was definitely still trying to figure everything out. I would love to take a course with her in the future!

The course was really interesting, but she just expected a little too much out of us in this Macaulay seminar. Multiple papers due on the same day and not automatic As were the roughest parts. She is incredibly smart though and taught the class really well. I did end up with an A, but it was a close call. Still would take again

Professor Walter is simply awesome! She really knows her stuff, is willing to answer any questions you may have, and keeps things clear. The material is filled with exceptions and irregularities, and Prof. Walter really makes them clear and easy to understand. I studied not to do well on the tests, but to understand and learn the material.

She is sweet, but she is tough. Clear on what she grades. Two exams with barely any homework. Her midterm mimics the format of the final so she is helpful. Fun class, minimal work, but you will learn.
