He was interesting to listen to during lectures. Go to class, take notes, participate, TRY and you will pass. The game is a learning experience. My group got a 60 and the two papers he grades hard on but I think its mainly for our benefit because he still curves them a lot. This class isn't hard & case studies were pretty interesting.

Bsg game was super frustrating. It takes you a couple of rounds to figure out the game but since summer sessions are too short you may not have time to recoup. Other than that, the class is pretty straightforward and his instructions are clear. Just read the cases and participate. Thats all. You will get a good grade.

To start, the management department has a philosophy to fail the entire class on the first paper so the grades aren't inflated. This includes getting a 2 out of 15 on spelling even if nothing is spelled wrong. Second, the BSG is a waste of time since it's the cheapest way the school could "educate" you on business without spending any money.

Business Strategy Game (BSG) 30%, Two papers @ 30% each, & Participation 10%. I honestly have to say dont stress too much about this class. Book not mandatory, Just read cases, take notes on what he writes on the board, and participate here and there. As for the BSG, my team got an F 50% while everyone else got 90%+... overall I got an A. Crazy!

You only have the BSG game and two papers; that's 90% of your grade, so you'll need to put in a good amount of effort on those. He doesn't have clear guidelines for the papers, but grades super hard on them. Has no patience for students who don't show up for class but complain about their grades. Overall, I liked him, but a lot of people struggled

This was an interesting class. It basically consists of 3 group presentations and 2 papers. He doesn't give out any grades during the semester, I thought I was doing pretty well till I saw my final graded posted and it was a C! Kind of odd because no one ever received any feedback from him on any of the assignments.

I don't agree with others. If you do show up, work on your presentations & the 2 papers seriously, you'll get an A. Just work, this is college. Prof Gorman lectures the first couple classes & then it's only group presentations all semester, which I think is great to discuss/debate with the class & learn. Easy to talk to. I would take him again.

Easy class. 2 papers, 1 BSG Game(group work, fun if you like strategy games). Book not needed, except for the Harvard cases (recommend buying this with a group of people $40). Attendance not mandatory, however you will need the lecture notes to get a good grade for the paper or use the book. Curves the paper a lot where 50/100 is a B.

3 group presentations. 2 papers. Only lectures for the first 2 weeks or so. Class was canceled about 6 to 7 times. PARTICIPATION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Even w/ the papers and presentations, participation is heavily weighted. Presentations are based on chapters from the 4 books he assigns. The students basically teach the class.

2 Papers,Participation through giving feedback worksheets to groups that present, & group projects galore! He doesn't teach whatsoever, a group presents on chapters of the book every class, whole class period! Never gives grades so your final grade is really a guessing game. Only buy the books you have to present on! Cancelled class 7 times lol.

This professor is not very content heavy. His class is one rare classes where critical thinking skills trumps any book knowledge. Dude is super smart, but quiet. When discussing the QC issues with Chinese made goods he asked a great question to the class -- "Would you trust your life with a Chinese made parachute?"

Don't kid yourself. Dr. Gorman prepares you for the real world - if you pay attention to what he instructs you to do, you'll learn from him (even if you didn;t get it, he'll explain it). And you'll learn by listening to his responses to other students. p.s. He doesn't give grades, you earn it

One of the worstttttt Professor in CSUN. He is not clear what he wants from students. He does not take an attendance in class, but he knows students in class. He grades hard purposely. He does not teach well, but he grades your paper harshly and not fair. you may get 23 or 80.don't be deceived by other students who say he cancels class a lot.

G.P is nice and does his best 2 answer any questions you have. Book isn't used much. Don't stress over the bsg game, not that important. Only 2 essays(2 pages max). He does cancel class a lot due 2 the "flu bug" he often gets. You won't know your grade until the end of the semester. No presentations due 2 pushing back stuff, Easy class don't stress

Laziest professor ever made.He canceled class 9 times throughout the semester which is great but you have no idea what your grades are throughout the semester and he ends up giving you whatever grade he feels like. It was really irritating because I thought I would've gotten an A. He is definitely the type to screw you over

This class was a disaster! We spent nearly the entire semester on the BSG Game, in which nobody shows up to class. He cancels class/doesn't show up constantly, without any warning! No grading system, and you don't know details about the class. Get ready for a complete disaster.

Was pretty clear with the papers and the group assignment. Seemed like an overall decent guy, and the class requires some thinking but isn't difficult if you read the syllabus correctly and do the papers as he requires. He is very particular about them. I enjoyed the class

Professor cancelled class because we all need more time to work on the written assignment and as we know many of us did not finish assignment on time. Both his online lecture and in class lecture were very helpful to understand this course. I really appreciate for Professor Gorman to give us more time to complete our assignment!!!

Class was easy but didn't learn anything. Did not get any of my work done until after finals we had no idea how we were doing. Cancelled class frequently. We had about 9 half-page essays (single space) and 2 full pg essays (single). A group game assignment. No final, nor midterm! Nice professor, but a little too professorial for me. don't buy book.
