Comment:
Dr. Fray is such a sweet person, but his lectures are scattered and difficult to follow. He spends the class writing examples on the board, but includes lots of unnecessary information. The beginning of the class was easy, but as it went on, I had to completely teach myself.

Dr. Fray is a very nice man but not a great teacher. During lectures you really just watch him work out examples on the board without any explanation as to what he is doing or why he is doing it. Homework assignments were easy and the first 2 tests were a breeze but after we got to harder material I just struggled to teach myself.

Nice person. I can't hear him at all at first, but his voice gets a little louder later on. Lectures make me sleep. Tests and computer assignments are graded and they're not hard. But he could be clearer on instructions and what he wants. His classes will demostrate the theory but have little significance in test if one understand the theory.

Fray has a teaching style that's not really conducive to learning, and all you'll see the entire class is the back of his head. Gives a ton of optional homework that he sometimes can't even solve himself. On the other hand, he is a very nice professor and is very willing to help. You will end up teaching yourself most of the material.

Professor is hard of hearing. Has good humor. Whenever you ask a question, he tries to answer it but sometimes struggles with it. Tests are relatively difficult, but you have to pay attention.

After two years of Pre-Calculus in high school, I still thought Dr. Fray's MTH-150 class was insanely difficult. I barely scraped out of there with a C, but I have to give Dr. Fray props for how much he was willing to work with me. He really went above and beyond to help me pass the class.

If you value your grades, do not take this professor. Lectures consist of him scribbling on the board and you always see the back of his head. His tests are 10x harder than the homework; the hw is hard in itself because he didn't care to buy the solutions manual! Unless you have endless hours to devote to teaching yourself the material, stay away!!

If homework wasnt optional/if I did it, this class would be an easy A. Even still I slacked off all the time and was always on my phone and got a B. The easiness is worth how boring the class is.

Dr. Fray is nice but a simply awful teacher. He can't teach well and just uses examples from the book. The homework isn't required, but the some of the tests are really challenging. The motto "easy A Fray" has died so don't expect that motto.

Dr. Fray is a really nice guy but he pretty much expects you to motivate yourself, teach yourself, and take care of yourself. My only advice to anyone in the class would be to make sure you understand how to do every single homework problem.

He was an OK professor. He gave out really clear study guides and was also eager to answer any questions in and outside of class. Extremely easy tests.

This man needs to retire. He's just terrible at explaining things, is not engaging, and his tests have little or nothing to do with the material. He is an antique and needs to go find a retirement home with the rest of Furman's math dept where they can sit forever solving useless problems together.

Go to class and pay attention and he lives up to his nickname. Pretty boring lectures, but we got some personality out of him. Nicest professor and more than willing to help you out. I barely cracked the book but went to class and stayed awake, received on A. Gives lots of partial credit, and it does help that he drops the lowest grade.

Dr. Fray is awesome. His notes are clear and he writes on the board almost word for word what he just told you. Tests actually test your knowledge of the subject. He was also very helpful outside of class. Homework helped but not graded. His final exam could replace the lowest test (which helped me get an A). Doesn't give + or - though. TAKE!

Easy A with Fray strikes again. Had his guy for 11, wanted to bring up the GPA with 16...and I did. Super easy. If you go to class, no reason to miss a single question all term. But then you would be a loser, cause no one goes.

Not "Easy A Fray" for math 12, that's for sure. Math 12 is a hard subject in general though. Tests are hard, but he is an easy grader. Kindest professor I have had so far, and he'll gladly help you if you have any problems. Hard to understand in class, and lectures are BORING.

I haven't been so bored in class in a long time. Draw pictures to stay awake. The class is too easy to be classified as college level and is more boring than should be allowed. Attendance is not required so no one shows up. "Easy A Fray" for Math 16 will raise your GPA but will not grant you a wealth of knowledge on math.
