Conditioning and Learning with Hale was tough- but not impossible. He is older with LOTS of knowledge in his field so sometimes can be hard to follow. Material is not hard, and he was always available to assist anyone who had questions inside or outside of class. There was no final, it was a project. 3 Exams throughout the course. & many quizzes.

He can be hard to follow during leacture because he takes you through the steps of the stat but doesnt fully explain what the stat is used for. He is really tough on grading. I got a 50 on an assignment because I didnt double space one line in my right up, so if you dont do it his way its wrong. Do the practice tests its what saved my grade.

He wants you to learn and he is an effective lecturer. He does his best to make the material accessible. He can be stern but he seems to care. Give him a couple of weeks before you judge him.

Hale is probably the best Psych professor at Shipp. Knowledgeable, easy to like, fair tests and extremely knowledgeable. His classes are very interesting.
