Rob is great - higher level German classes only have 15 kids max, so you end up really getting to know him. The class wasn't my cup of tea in terms of content, but he tailored topics to what we liked. Ended up modifying the syllabus so we didn't need to write a paper. Only grade in the entire class was a 10 minute presentation on our choice

TAKE THIS CLASS!! I'm so glad I did. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. We had to buy one book (only like $10) but we only used it a few times. You only have to do one project and all you need is a decent effort and you'll get an A. I've heard nightmares about other seminars, it could be boring sometimes, but not stressful.

Such an easy seminar professor. You get assigned like maybe 3 chapters from a really boring book but you just have to take notes and talk about it in the next class. No other assignments besides a final project (you chose the topic). Super awesome guy!

Easy A, took for a global pathway and it was a breeze. Weekly quizzes and 1 page paper due. I spent around 2 hours a week on this class and ended up with an A. Don't skip class, no notes are posted online. Extra credit was given at the end of the semester and boosted my grade from a B+ to an A. would recommend. 50% of your grade comes from quizzes.

Comment:

Professor Hoeing is simply a great person. I had him for my freshman seminar and he did not give us any work except for a final project. It does determine your grade, but don't let that scare you. Just put a little effort into it and you will be fine. VERY easy A. He does this to give freshman a chance to start with a good GPA. Mad props.

I had him for my freshman seminar. No tests, one presentation and a few small participation things. He doesn't take attendance, but you have to go at-least sometimes. He talks about his other classes sometimes and I know his other classes are not nearly as easy. He is an easy going guy though and wants his students to pass.

I've taken his classes for 3 semesters and each time he's always funny, knowledgable, and accessible. He believes in earning grades, not giving them and so if you go to class and at least try and talk to him about what you're struggling with, you will get at least a B+ no matter what. Just a great guy! Has a contagious laugh! He's one of my favs

So amazing. Literally my favorite person ever! He's so smart and knowledgable, and just an amazing professor in general! You'll learn a lot, and not dread it; actually, everything is super interesting! Go professor Hoeing! Also, you learn German.

This class is just a prereq for the more difficult stuff. If you apply yourself at all, it's an easy A, especially cuz this prof is so nice, and wants to make sure you get the information he's teaching, as well as a good grade. I'd recommend this class anyday

Alright..So now the grades are out,Its time to rate. First, He is easy and his grading is not difficult at all. There are 10 quizzes, 1 midterm, and 1 final. The awesome part about all of it is. He tells before hand what should you expect on them. He gives more importance on the quizzes than exams. Make sure you take down notes will help you a lot,
