Comment:
Professor Korenman is a great choice if you want to learn microecon and have no background in it. He can be a tough grader sometimes and an easy grader other times. It depends on how the class is doing overall and what the econ experience level in the class is. He makes himself available to students through email and stays after class.

He is fair grading however he does not explain clearly the subject. If you want to pass the class you might need extra help like tutoring or you tube videos; especially if you do not have to much experience in Economics.

FOCUS. I screwed up and dropped a grade because I didn't, but focus and review the material. He's not bad, but he is very strict about the wording you use. Most of it is theoretical and implementing that theory into various scenarios. Study groups are a must especially for hw. Visit office hours often. Take detailed notes on what he says in class!

He expalains the subjet in real-world examples. Very clear; he explains the basics step-by-step, so even if you haven't had prior knowledge of the microeconomics you will understand the topics well. I highly recommend to take this professor

If you pay attention to the examples in class and read the textbook, you will be fine. Grades are based entirely on 4 tests which are weighed equally. He can be funny at times too. For example, on a test question about how does the supply curve shift, one of the answers listed was "to the left, to the left" in reference to Beyonce.

nice guy whos very enthusiastic about what he teaches. i found the class was a bit boring but if you show up to each class even though attendance isnt mandatory, you can easily get an A. solid professor but expect to work for your grade.

I thought the class was pretty easy. He was an alright teacher, kinda boring though. The class itself is pointless as long as you study the book. I didn't pay attention to a word he was saying after the first week and stopped showing up completely for the last month and still managed an A. Just study the book and it'll be fine.

He DID NOT curve... He said that he curve, but his curving was so so funny. I've never understand his curve. "Was that really curve?" "I DO NOT THINK SO" BA---D.

okay, i dont want to say he is a bad professor, but he is not a good professor either. the way he teaches is bad, cover eveythin very fast and unclear. worst of all, the class is boring, well he tries hard to make it interesting by tell jokes but most of the jokes are STUPID, neways, overall, not a bad professor, exams are easy only if you study.

Teaches everything in the MOST DIFFICULT WAY !!! (and trust me, its not a matter of english being your first language or not, he no doubt understands the stuff himself ,, but DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TEACH IT TO HIS STUDENTS!!!) better econ. teachers out there! avoid!!!!!

this guy's not hard, his exams r just tricky. if anything, ask him questions or ask the recitation leader. usually, he picks the good ones. 2 exams worth 25% and 1 final worth 50% of ur total grade. and he DOES curve. my test average came out to a B but instead got a B+ in his class

His exams were tricky. Who said that his would curve the exams. It was not true. in this semester,he was not curve. You must read a book and solve all problems and questions from recit class. sometimes, he mixed recitation questions to exmas, but different answers. you be careful. I hate him cus he ruind my GPA. I got all 3 'A' but this, I lost.

I found his poverty class very interesting. It may be challenging for those who do not have basic economics and stats. Someone wrote previously that his lectures are boring...well if you do not have any interest in this subject (poverty), you will definitely be bored. He is very helpful: ready to meet and answers emails promptly.

His tests are very tricky and the answers are somewhat subjective. He also grades with a curve, which means it's very difficult to get either a low grade or a high grade in this class, and an A in one semester might be an A- in another.

2 exams during the semester and 1 final cumulative. Economic is not an easy subject but the book is extremly clear with every subject and the prof. is helpful if you ask him explanations. His exams can be a little tricky but overall a good mix of easy, medium and hard questions. you MUST read the book but do not need to show up in class.
