Her class is not the easiest, but she definitely knows her subject and is passionate about what she is teaching. She will do whatever she can to help her students succeed. It is very possible to make a good grade in her class, but you have to work.

This professor is very helpful and wants to see students exceed. She expects a lot of her students but is more than willing to help you out of class. Her grading is very fair as long as you dedicate enough time to this course. If your work is lacking she will not hand you a good grade. She is passionate about preparing future teachers for the field

Dr. Byrd is my favorite education professor at UNCA. She teaches in a clear manner and is passionate about education. The education department is lucky to have her as a part of their faculty.

Unwilling to help students. Let's them fail without telling them and doesn't help them out when needed. She's semi-nice to your face, but really stabs you in the back when you turn around! I'd never take her for a teacher!
