Great teacher! Mr. Boling's very fun and understanding. He's pretty clear about his expectations and due dates so I wouldn't mess around with him. The class can be pretty essay heavy with an essay due every 2-3 weeks but he's always there to help you! Besides essays there's also group discussions and presentations. Would totally recommend him

By Far the best English teacher I've had. I liked him for several reasons. The first being he's an easy/lenient grader. When he grades essay he also gives in-depth feedback and notes which are constructive and helpful. He's also a really funny which makes the class so much more enjoyable.

Amazing professor. Yes, there are a lot of papers but they are interesting enough that it is bearable. Makes you feel comfortable and is very funny. I would highly recommend. As long as you do all the homework and papers you should be fine!

Sean is the best professor I've ever had. He's an extremely knowledgeable and humble guy that is very understanding. The essays he assigns are interesting and he's a reasonable grader. He taught me communication skills I never thought I would learn from an English class.

Comment:

Sean is one of my favorite professors that I've had at Cuesta. I took him for Eng 201A & 201C. While his classes do require a lot of papers, they're writing classes so that's to be expected. He gives you a lot of personal freedom on essay topics which is nice as well. Sean is kind, funny, smart, and an amazing professor overall. HIGHLY recommend.

Professor Boling was one of the best professors I've had at Cuesta. He's the first teacher to ever care about & encourage my writing. He has excellent energy, which made me want to actually engage in class. You get to write about things that actually interest you and class work is not difficult at all. He's awesome.

Great teacher! Very understanding if you need to leave early or cant make it to class but its important to communicate with him. Great at emailing you back right away. Always willing to help you out if you didn't understand the first time. Takes the time to go over your essays with you instead of just handing them back out with pointless notes.

I couldn't ask for a better English instructor. He's extremely clear on all the papers and presentations he assigned us. If you are unsure or unclear about something; just ask him for help. He does his best to make everything clear for his students. He made both the English classes I took from him very entertaining too. Thank you so much Mr. Boling
