The course is easy. But, the professor gives ridiculous amounts of work (6 homeworks, 6 quizzes, 3 projects, 3 midterms). He is hilarious in a way and a nice person. You will learn a few very basics of security from this course. Keep your expectations low of this course if you do have to take this one

I did not enjoy this class at all, and I am someone who really enjoys computer science. I would recommend staying away from it if at all possible. There is an excessive amount of homework, projects, quizzes, and tests, and the lectures are extremely surface-level and do not delve into anything.

Very easy subject. But there will be lot of quizzes and homework. You might want to read the book since he would ask questions in exams from it. Take this course if you are interested in learning about basic concepts in security.

I wouldn't recommend taking his class. His projects are useless. Lectures are okay. It's more like a pure theoritical course. The workload of the course if above average-heavy. It's a strong thumbs down from me.

Comment:
Not a great professor, but not bad either. Uses a lot of analogies when teaching, which keeps a dry class interesting. This class involved a lot of memorization, but it's not like anything can be done about that. I do like that I basically understand how processors work now, after taking the class.

He is a good teacher. If you do what he exactly assigns you to do, then you will do well. The class is not easy, nor the exams. Just do the homeworks and understand them perfectly and you will be fine. He is helpful and will listen to your comments/questions.
