Passionate about his classes, great chance for a high B or A. If you write well (I didn't at the time) he is a hard grader at grammar. The course is fun, makes the material fun. No textbook is needed just pdf papers in a binder you have to get. 2 group projects. (10) One page write-ups of readings. 1 active participation for another class.

Dr. Spano is such a good professor because he expects you to take Comm theory off the page and put it into practice. What a concept! Assignments are interesting because they are focused on real field work. He is friendly, helpful, genuine, and passionate about his field. One of the VERY BEST profs at SJSU.

I took him for three classes. He makes the concepts interesting and his lectures keep you engaged. His classes are challenging but you really learn a lot. I highly recommend Dr. Spano...he is my favorite teacher at SJSU.

The most straightfoward class ever. 5 speeches in all with 3 being the major ones. I'm not shy to speak in front of other people anymore. Teaches well. He's so easy as long as you do your speeches well. Trust me, you'll get comfortable quickly.

Hot for an older guy.The most straightford prof you will ever meet. Explains everything. No question is stupid. Loves to help. Go to class & you'll be fine. Extremely motivating and gets to the point.

Dr. Spano is the kind of teacher you wish you had for every subject. He is intelligent, he takes the time to answer questions and explain things throughoutly. Took him for interpersonal comm, and I was impressed with his down to earth teaching style. A great teacher.

They're all right. He explains concepts really well and his lectures are very clear and unique. He (and some of his collegues) grade essays really harsh so I'm not sure if he's good is explaining what he wants on his essays. Easy exams; fun class to take.
