Siggi is Icelandic so he has an accent. He's a great guy but it can be a pain to get a hold of him for help with the homework thats assigned every week. The programming can be tricky so its better to be sure that you come to every class so as to not miss out on any information.

Comment:

Siggy is the best guy ever. But being a great person does not mean you have great teaching skills. Although he is really good he may confuse some of his students. The way I'm currently passing the class? Simple, I got a tutor. Only reason why I am passing this class. Its by far the hardest class in my freshman year but I finally figured it out.

Oh man. Siggi is a great guy, and very helpful if you go in and talk to him, but his lectures are extremely dry. Take really good notes (even when it's painfully hard) and you'll be fine when it comes to the homework and projects at the end of the semester. And use office hours! I wish I did!

A very interesting guy. Very knowledgable in his areas. Powerpoint slides are very useful in his class. Exams are easy, but HW could be somewhat a burden. Sometimes not very responsive in giving feedback on HW or exams. In general he is a good professor. Note: he speaks with strong accent. Could be difficult to follow non-native English speakers.

IF you can get beyond the insane "saturday night" shirts and faded jeans that Siggy wears to class, you will probably do alright. I, unfortunatley, was unable to get past some of his more memorable ensembles.

Horrible instructor. Extremely hard to understand as he doesnt explain well. avoid him if you can. First two tests are very easy the finals are long and kinda hard, he doesnt curve well and most of whom were A'sing it ended up with Bs

The material is pretty easy, but what is up with LINGO? NOBODY knows how to use this program- it's too bad that some big assignements and even the semester project are basically coding and interpretting LINGO. Other than that, Siggi's a great prof and really fair grader. Really helpful, too.

ok, so it was 101, and you only had to show up. class was pretty boring, but it was 101. he was very prepared for class, interisted in helping. showed interist in students. very passionate about teaching. accent takes a lecutre or two to understand
