Amazing professor who teaches you how to think like a nurse and how to become a better student. I have never learned so much in a class before. Available outside of class and is always welcoming.

Fetzer is the make it or not of the program. You will struggle to pass her mandatory class. Lectures are great, but you WILL need to apply yourself for hours. Brace yourself for a difficult class. Attend office hours as much as possible.

Tough on grades but very intelligent and very good at what she does. She knows what she's teaching and if you pay attention and put the time in, do the work and do what she says, you will be fine. If you fall behind or don't work hard, you will fail.

She is an extremely smart professor who has experienced many different aspects of nursing. She is a tough grader but if you put in the effort you will learn a lot. Don't worry so much about your grade and worry more about learning.

Very smart, but also very rigid. Usually will not see another viewpoint, but she is a fountain of information. If you go into her class expecting to learn and work hard, your expectations will be met.

She offers no support whatsoever, and told a class to get off their high horse, since most of the class failed an exam and she thought we weren't taking it seriously. She said if you have questions then ask them in class. Then one person said but everytime we ask you a question you tell us to post it on the message board. Avoid if possible.

This was easily the hardest class I have ever taken in college. My life was dedicated to reading a med-surg book and teaching myself material that I was expected to know, but was never taught in detail. This class made me question whether or not I would ever be a nurse. All I have to say to anyone taking this class is good luck.

Comment:
NURS615 was the most emotionally exhausting 4 months of my entire life. We were assigned and quizzes on anywhere from 150-300 pages of reading per week. She picks random things to test you on so it is impossible to know exactly what she is going to ask you. She is not available outside of class and is not helpful in answering questions. Horrendous.

I am not sure who wrote the previous comment but she is very smart but her teaching style does not cover her testing style. Much about teaching broad subjects and testing on specifics, good class if you are only taking one class a semester.

Sue is an excellent teacher or rather I should say her teaching style and my learning style mesh. She just about knows everything there it to nursing and if she doesn't know, she will find out and let you know.
