Comment:

Tough class if you've never taken French before but is a very forgiving grader and understands that it's an entry level class. She is big on attendance and there are quite a few tests and quizzes but if you participate in class (she calls on people a lot) then you'll do fine

Comment:

Going into the class, there's A LOT of vocab and grammar to learn. The good thing about Lloyd is that she doesn't expect you to know all of it. She also gives out quality study guides and studies the test the day of. One weird thing is that she has EC on tests and shames students when they don't do it. She's overall good with some odd faults.

Comment:

Lloyd is a good french teacher, though not my favorite language teacher. She moves a bit fast and I personally don't think she assigns enough speaking assignments because a lot of my classmates were still pronouncing things wrong on the final exam. She is very nice and loves to bring food to class which was a plus. More fun than a Spanish class!

She says you can pass questions on to others if you don't know--not the case at all. First day of class you were expected to know some in French 1, kind of stressful. That being said, she thoroughly walks through every test before you take it, making it pretty easy to ace everything, and presentations are worth putting effort in to, they're big pts

Comment:

Absolutely great teacher! She makes learning French easy and fun! Mme Lloyd has a range of projects that help you speak French confidently and she makes lovely food for the whole class. Healthy and French of course! Would recommend her to anyone. All you have to do is turn up to classes, do your work, have fun and you will be speaking French!

Mdm lloyd is a wonderful teacher! She is very energetic and excited to teach. I learned so much from her. I liked everything about her class. She even brings food for everyone sometimes!

Mme Lloyd is an excellent teacher. I like how she has us get into different groups and practice speaking in French. She is extremely helpful, upbeat, and even brings the most incredible French pastries to class when learning about cultural cuisine. Take this class- you will love going to it. You can tell she really cares about her students as well.

Great teacher. Yes, she spends most of class time speaking in French, but really ... what do you expect out of a French class? She will explain if you ask questions. Lloyd is fun, energetic, and caring. I was dealing with a lot of things when I took her class and she was very understanding. She helped me catch up and I ended up getting an A. Voila!

Sra. Lloyd is aweome. She liked to bake so she brings food for the class sometimes. Her tests are not hard. The week before finals she announced to the class which people would have to take the final and only 4 out of the 20 students needed to.

Lloyd is the best language teacher in Cuesta College. Of course it's a difficult class- it's a different language for pete's sake. If you ask her to explain she most definitely will and she brings home-made French pastries to class!! Altogether she is an excellent woman!

Madame Lloyd loves teaching French.Unfortunately if you do not speak fluent French you have NO idea what she is saying. She explains questions in french and explains grammar in french. You learn more from the book. Wish the first part of class was taught in English for grammar and the second part of class was all speaking and listening in French.

She is the best language teacher I have ever had! I can't believe all of the other ratings below because she is extremely nice and upbeat. Of course the class is hard because it is a language class so you have to keep up. But she brings in homemade french desserts alot- the best ever! Take this class if you need a language- Lloyd is amazing.

Not the greatest teacher. Class always, always feels rushed and ill-explained. Often leaves you to fend for yourself. Needs to spend more time connecting with students. Doesn't seem to care about either class or individual student progress. Take another professor :/
