Comment:

You can tell he likes teaching and cares about his students but the class is unnecessarily hard. A quiz, Midterm and Final are the entire grade with some extra credit. His lectures can be really funny but it's really scattered, you will need to do a lot of outside studying to pass the class. Only take as a last option!

Comment:

Tommy does a great job of making sure that you can apply your knowledge to scenario-based tests. Prepare to spend hours studying to fully understand. Tommy is very specific with your answers, don't skip through the vocabulary in the chapter. Make sure that you can apply your knowledge to every-day scenarios, it helped me organize the curriculum.

Comment:

Difficult but fun class. The grades are all in exams but he doesn't do homework other than extra credit so that makes sense. Read the book, do the extra credit, go to class and you'll do fine.

Exams are hard but he's a great professor - lots of info available and presents it in a way that doesn't make you totally fall asleep. Make sure to take notes!

Comment:

This class is by no means an easy A but if you show up and take detailed notes, its passable. Dr. Whittler mostly talks for his lectures and uses a projector but save for a few tangents about motorcycles, they're pretty engaging & he repeats what he says a lot so you get it. Tons of extra credit available. Definitely an old school professor though

It is clear that Tommy likes teaching the information, but he puts your entire grade one the midterm and final. He admits that they are hard and he dosen't teach you all the information. The crossword on the final is brutal. Many people didn't pass the class because of that gimicky part.

Tommy is misleading. He says his exams are hard and you must study, however, he always tells us about examples of students who never come to class or didn't study that got 100% on the tests. He gives you false confidence. You must study for the tests way harder than you think. Terrible prof!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I literally studied so much for both exams and barely passed. Im not kidding 100% effort and still got a C. Theres 1 quiz and its not too hard. Lecture outlines are very vague and his handwriting is gibberish. 4 extra credit assignments. His class is very entertaining and very interesting but its NOT WORTH IT!!! DO NOT TAKE

Very hard class to pass even if you are paying attention and coming to class everytime. Midterm and Final determine everything. You have a quiz, but it dosen't really matter. The teacher is nice, and gives lots of examples but that doesn't really matter if class is designed in a way to make it wayyy to hard to pass.

Tommy is a nice guy, but what makes me dislike him so much and why he deserves a poor score is the way his class is structured. He says in class that he wants you to know the concept, not the definition for tests, yet most of the questions are the test are definition based...

Avoid this guy at all costs. He is the nicest teacher but he his class is WAY TOO HARD. 25pts for quiz. 65pts Midterm. 120pts for final. No homework, attendance points. You need to come class. The handouts do not help you study for the final. Everything is scenario based which is done in class with few definitions. 9 people failed in my class.

Tommy is a great professor BUT his tests are insane. You need to study the moment he starts giving you info. Its a quiz,mid&final; the quiz was easy, the midterm was HARD but the final was easier bc you knew the format. THERE WILL BE A CROSSWORD ON FINAL SO STUDY DEFINITIONS! Also, gave tons of opportunity for ec so DO THEM! u need them.

Tommy is a really cool person, however, if you need structure to succeed I wouldn't take this class. He doesn't use powerpoint or handouts, so you must pay attention in order to take good notes. Midterm, Final, Quiz, and EC. Be prepared to study A LOT. If you're not in marketing/not interested in the subject, maybe find an easier section.

OK I will be honest that I really liked Professor Whittler as a person. His class is based on a quiz, midterm, and final. He does provide extra credit because you will need it since his midterm average class grades are below a C. If he says he isnt putting a crossword puzzle on the final he is lying. There is just way too much vocab to study for

I love Tommy as a person he is so interesting and knowledgeable. I was not ready for his midterm majority of the class failed the midterm (55% class average) which he did not curve. If you can find a professor that isn't so detailed I'd advise you to look for a different professor. GOOD LUCK if you take him.

Tommy is overall a good person, but he absolutely refuses to adapt to modern and changing technology. (aka everything is handouts, projectors, and lectures). your grade is determined by a quiz, midterm, and final. The midterm and final are extremely hard and long. the class average was a 69% and he thought that was a good class average.

I would never take Tommy's class again. At the end of the day a horrible professor. His lectures are all over the place with no clear structure. The man doesn't even own a cell phone, so good luck getting a hold of him. He expects you to know the material just like he does. Btw he lied to his entire class about final, stay away from this class
